POPPIES BACKING PAPER/BACKGROUND: A4 With Commercial Use
This beautiful patterned background/backing paper features delicate red poppies in a green and blue summer haze. (It's designed to match cup799631_79993, but will probably be suitable again and again for lots of different projects, from gift bags to printable wrapping paper).
This design prints out well (300dpi) at ordinary A4 size, with a small border around the edge for easy printing. And, as with all my designs, you're free to sell anything you physically hand make using this sheet, whether on CUP or elsewhere.. Have fun with it!

This is another design by Clare Walker using pen and ink to draw a beautiful field of poppies.
It inspired me to not only use this design as a backing sheet and an insert, but also to incorporate the stitching design, by Emy van Schaik, cup894427_1549,flowercorner, I was reminded of an aged article I have, about the Poppies and that this was now the 100th.
Year Anniversary of the Armistice, and hunted out the article and the poem, written by Colonel John McCrae, when he himself was having treatment for his WW1 war wounds, looking out on the field of poppies.
I have not included the poem in the insert, but I have included it the card I intend to send to my aged Uncle .I made a white card 16x30cm, and scored and folded it before attaching the backing sheets and the topper using D.S. tape.
I have attached fine line gold peel off strips to the very outside edges of the 15 x 14cm, poppy backing sheet, and I have used the same peel off strips to attach 2mm in from the edges of the 14 x 12cm green backing sheet.
I have defined the edges of the main white 13 x 12cm topper using a red permanent pen. The poppy spray I have drawn with my black fine line pen and coloured with spectrum noir then cut out the image and attached it using red power tape.
This design is an absolute perfect match for the card I wanted to create.

I just wanted to have more cards with Clare's amazing watercolors in my collection. So I decided to try all possible combinations of matching backgrounds, front cards and inserts.
I printed the background page as the main images (which I bought earlier) onto the professional watercolor paper, cut them out and attached to the contrast (or matching) color mats.
I also added some brads, ribbons or other embellishments if it was necessary to complete my card.
