HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPPIES: 7x7 Floral Quick Card with Commercial Use
Gorgeous red watercolour poppies are the feature of this birthday floral quick card. This beautiful design works without any additions. But you can also add the easy cut decoupage flowers and/or alternative sentiment tags to give your card an extra "wow" factor and brighten someone's day on even more occasions than birthdays.
In addition, a matching insert (cup809324_79993) is also available for this item.
(To avoid duplication, please note that this sheet is now also available on CUP as one of the 15 sheets in my "Floral Bumper Kit 1"
(cup848110_79993).
Finally, this design also comes with small scale commercial use, meaning that you're free to sell anything you hand make with this sheet, on CUP or anywhere else. Enjoy using this design!

First printed this gorgeous card out onto 210 gsm white card. I then cut out the few elements ant used silicon gel to build up the Poppy flowers. then added Wink of stella and adhered the base picture to an 8" x 8" white card base. I then added some red flat backed pearl trim to 2 sides to enhance the red of the Poppies, finishing off with the Happy Anniversary sentiment.
I really enjoyed making this card and hopefully the recipient will enjoy it too.
I missed catching this with a gold star, however, as I just love Clare's art work, I had to make this card for my very special friend, and up load it. I made it in a smaller size to make for easy posting. I printed it onto 200sgm white card and cut out all the elements I wanted to use.
I cut very carefully, diagonally, with tiny scissors into the right hand corner of the outer frame, to cut around and keep the outer frame.
I used a 10cm x 10.5 cm backing sheet, and white glue along the 4 edges and attached this outer frame. I repeated this process with the next green and white frame, adjusting the sizes as I worked. This left the main central topper, just slightly larger than 8cm square. I made a backing sheet in a mustard shade, 8.5cm square. I set this aside to attach later.
I made a bright, deep orange backing sheet, 9.5cm square, and used double sided tape, to attach it to the Green and white frame section, that I had already prepared. The next larger frame I then attached with padded tape to the back of the orange backing sheet. I wrapped a green organza 2.5cm wide ribbon around these prepared backing sheets, and tied a bow on the right hand side.
I set this aside while I made the main ivory card. 23cm x 11.5cm. To this, I attached a deep green backing sheet, 10.75 cm square, with heavy duty, red, double sided tape, leaving only a scant of the ivory card showing on the left, and 8mm showing on the right hand side.
I then attached the topper with the bow, and then the main art work with double sided padded tape and used padded tiny squares and dots to add the elements, including the sentiment and vertical peel off, orange coloured Happy Birthday.
I then used the matching insert, cup809324_79993 to attach to the inside, I used good quality copy paper to copy the sheet 3 times. This gave me the ability to use the extra poppy elements, around the verse, which I have uploaded as well.
Clare, I hope you like what I have done. Poppies are a flower we do not grow in Queensland unfortunately, So this card should be given a rebirth just before ANZAC DAY.
