ED162 Border
Stitching with beads
Photographs from the Community
I decided to make this border design, by Emy van Schaik into a Christmas Greeting card and I have used all metallic threads for the stitching and red polyester thread to attach the beads.
I completed the stitching before attaching the beads.
I used 3 different shades of green metallic thread and one bright red thread. The beads I have used are 4 tiny red seed beads, 6 red metallic 0.5mm rice beads and 2 metallic red tiny round beads.
I then used the gold bauble peel off to attach to white card before colouring it with permanent pens.
I used red glitter peel off words for the Merry Christmas and added a red star and a reindeer. I used padded D.S tape to add all the embellishments. The backing sheet is one I had sent from C.B in a surprise parcel, which is a linen textured red background with tiny Christmas roses.
I used this as the insert as well.
My card front measures 17.5 x 15 cm and I am very happy with that size, and the beautiful Christmassy look of the completed project.
