Our weekly visit to RAF Lakenheath this week was a bit of a let down to be honest, The weather was really overcast and foggy in places and especially foggy on the runway ..So after a busy day with launches and landings I had to make my day worth while. So on taking the shots from my card to the pc I was really disappointed as they were very grainy in places and you could see the awful weather we faced on taking shots. So I loaded some of the shots into light room and played a bit there, and this was the result, However you can still see the weather in the background and see its a bit foggy, As you can see from the shot takenI dont often play with my shots or should I say edit them, I normally just crop zoom in and save..
Still all this is a learning curve and I just love it!All files in all formats only here https://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/

We bought her a Flying log book so she could fill in in each time she flew with miles flown , where too and so on...
She just loves it ! The photo today was taken on landing in Barbados Last Saturday.. She only had a two day stop over this time .. just enough time to check out the beach and surrounding areas ..What a job she has ..

Well Monday gave us plenty to do at the airbase this week, The started night flying this week as their yearly budget was renewed! So heres the first 6 ready and waiting for the signal they can taxi to the runway and be given permission to take off for their daily sorties.
We then waited for them to land which they did after around an hour. Then came the wait for the next batch!
OMG we waited and waited and finally at 5.30pm they decided to start the engines ready for their night sorties. So out came the camera again and set the tripod up as it was getting dark...
But come 7PM I was tired and cold so we left for home, We didnt wait for them to return..Roll on next week!

There is just nothing like the F15 in full flight mode!
This was taken by me on Tuesday at RAF Lakenheath, He over shot the runway on purpose and just look at the stance he has in the sky!The F15 is being used at the moment to guard the Balkans ..
Its also in use for many other things too but obviously these are secret so not all of us are privy to that information..However just watching them launch and land and over shoot the runway in full attack mode suits me fine..

And another first for me with my camera..Trying to catch a fast jet in the viewfinder is hard enough but to catch it full flight with the afterburners if really a rare event especially for me..I am still learning and I am afraid its taken over!
They just fascinate me how they just glide through our skies making sure everythings in order. And this week its Exercise Week where they F15s and the Raptors F22s are helping keep our skies safe for all of us.
So more photos next week..All files are here for you https://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/
