I had a day out this week to RAF Waddington where they were in exercise and the Hornets from Canada were in townAlong with the finish F18s and the Poland F16s.
Had a lovely day watching them launching and landing.It was a long drive there and back 6 hours round trip but was well worth the travelling.I doubt they will be back anytime soon.
So was great to catch them with my lens
Went to my happy place this week, weather really cold up there but its better for photography due to no heat haze.Heres the boss bird coming into land Thursday afternoon, a bit cloudy but plenty of blue skies in between, It was packed up there due to some rare F35s from Vermont stopping by.
I didnt get to see them on this occasion maybe next time
Afterburners on! You cant beat a bit of fire out the back LoL..Went for my weekly visit this week and caught this beauty in my lens..
Just love the effect you get when the weather is not sunny and it;s slightly darker..You can see the carrots hahaha out of the back of the engines..
Always makes me smile and the noise is just ear defening but I love it. I could sit there all day and everyday if I could, unfortunately I have too work
Another surge day we had n Wednesday... They launched they landed they launched again and landed again and did this for several hours..
Not sure how much fuel they use when doing this but its fun I enjoy it very much.I am not the only one either it was packed up there this week..
Even the children loved the noise they gave.Next week we have the pleasure of F16s visiting I just cant wait!!
Just look how close Ive got to the cockpit, I was as normal at my happy place this week once again.The Anniversary jet still has that photo appeal.
And looks stunning in the sky.Lakenheath was very busy they had surge week this week which means they go do their sorties come back land refuel and off again.
Weather was quite windy so the heat haze wasnt so intense as it normally is this time of year Oh well thats all from me.
