News & Updates from Sherry Harris

Our local Iris Club, which I belong to, had it's annual Iris Show. My garden had bloomed in mid April, and I had only six Irises left. The show chairman asked me to enter what I could, so we'd at least have flowers for the public to view.
Others were asked to do the same. What I had weren't the greatest and I was certain weren't show quality, but I decided to go ahead and submit them as the chairman requested. Boy, was I surprised when the judging ended.
Amazingly, I had won two First Place Ribbons!
I couldn't believe it and was smiling from ear to ear. I also won a second place ribbon and two thirds. Thanks to my wonderful husband for all his help with the garden. Remember, you never know what might happen. It never hurts to try!
You might be pleasantly surprised like I was.
