The Olympic torch arrived in Hull this evening (18th June 2012) but as the school where I work is on the other side of the Humber a trip was arranged so that the children could feel involved and show their support. Today around 250 children aged 5-11 walked 3 miles over the Humber Bridge carrying flags and torches that they had made, ate their packed lunch in the Humber Bridge Viewing area in Hull and then walked the 3 miles back over the bridge to school. I needed something to carry my raincoat, sandwiches, and sundry bits and bobs in (sorry Bob) and Crafty Bob's Golden bag was just the thing and was even just the right colour for the Olympic theme. The picture shows the magnificent Humber bridge in the background. The kids were amazing and not one of them complained about the distance or the heat (yes, the sun shone!!)
