News & Updates from Pat Peach

Lockdown has been hard on all of us but I have been trying to look at the positive side. One of my main hobbies is taking photgraphs of creatures whether that be birds, mammals, reptiles or insects.
Lockdown meant that I could not go abroad on safari and for a long time I was limited on where I could go in the UK.
However once lockdown lifted a bit and we were allowed to drive 10 miles I made a great new discovery.
I was searching the internet for places where I could see creatures in the UK and found the Wildlife Trust websites, just about one per county.
There were hundreds of places I could go to see whatever wildlife turned up - some were very close to my home and I had never known they were there.
I have now visited lots of sites and seen lots of new creatures - for me this has just been wonderful.
Now I have mny places I can go to look for creatures, take photgraphs and lift my spirits.
Lockdown is painful but for me there has been a least one positive which I can enjoy for the rest of my life.
