I took these pictures a while back and have finally gotten around to doing something with them. The poinsettias were in a display in the Detroit Michigan Botanical Gardens, and the wildflowers pics were taken here in San Antonio, Texas.
Cards from photographs of flowers for all occasions

I am so proud of my son, who graduated from Army Basic Combat Training last week. My daughter, Mother, and sisters travelled to South Carolina to congratulate him. Then while he went off to his next training station, we girls enjoyed a Girls Weekend Out at Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
What a beautiful area - hot, but cooler than here in San Antonio, Texas. Pictured below is my son and Mother. Two of my favorite Christmas sheets. New double-window mini kits are coming later this week!

This past week, the descendants of my grandparents gathered for a reunion at a cousin's estate in Missouri, which is in the Midwestern part of the USA.
There were about 75 relatives there and we had a great time! I haven't laughed so much since the last reunion!
This picture is of my late sister's granddaughter (on the right) and one of her cousins who met for first time and were great friends from the first moment.
They are pictured in front of some beautiful pink coneflowers, which just happened to be the same flowers in a graphic set I purchased recently from www.jaguarwoman.com, so the coincidence was too much to resist!
And while we are in the country theme, I've included one of my popular 2014 calendars.

The spring flowers are just about their prime here in southern Texas, but my favorite roses are thriving despite my lack of attention.
A popular pastime in the spring here is to drive out to the Hill Country to see the beautiful wildflowers in bloom - which, of course, must include a stop for either pizza and/or ice cream!

May is a busy party month here in San Antonio, Texas. With Cinco de Mayo celebrations, Fiesta, Oysterbake, and lots of other events, there's lots to do and it's a great time to go downtown to San Antonio's famous Riverwalk.
I was lucky enough to have friends with front row tickets to the River Parade, which is a parade that features colourful, beautifully decorated barges floating down the river with the water reflecting all the beautiful lights.
Lots of music, food, and fun ...not to mention shopping in the little stores along the Riverwalk, which inspired this series of double-window cards.
