Curacao- My Cruise Stop by Silvia Griffin

What a lovely stop on our last Caribbean Cruise. Curaçao architecture blends Dutch and Spanish colonial styles. The wide range of historic buildings in and around Willemstad has resulted in the capital being designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles came into effect on 10 October 2010. Curaçao became a country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, with the Kingdom retaining responsibility for defense and foreign policy. When the Dutch arrived in 1634, they built forts at key points around the island to protect themselves from foreign powers, privateers, and pirates. Six of the best preserved forts can still be seen today,The government of Curaçao takes place in a framework of a parliamentary representative democratic country. The Prime Minister is the head of government. Executive power is exercised by the government. Legislative power is vested in both the government and parliament.

I also have made some SCRABBLE Cards so check it out and let me know if you have any requests.

Alfies 12th Birthday! by Sue Way

We have had a very busy & exciting week here. On Sunday there was a brilliant party for Imogens 6th birthday, then on Wednesday we went out for dinner and presents for her actual birthday. But on Saturday it was our beautiful Golden Retriever Alfies 12th birthday! We started the day off with lots of presents, including new teddies and treats. Then, as the sun was shining, we took him down to the beach & let him have a good old splash about in the sea. He ended up soaking we & very sandy! He loves getting wet, so he was a very happy boy. I cant believe my baby bear is 12 now, but he is doing ok if a little slow & always has a big Golden smile on his face. This week I have been adding scalloped Round toppers, with decoupage. The are perfect for many occasions, from Mothers Day to anniversary or birthday. New House by Denise Lada

Back in January my daughter, dog and myself moved to a new house in a very small New Hampshire town. New is in inverted commas since the main part of the house was built in 1798. It also has a name Old Little Croooked House We were slowly redecorating and planning what to do and whether or not my craft room should be in the attic or basement.A week ago I decided to make a quick, less than 1/2 hour, trip to the transfer station (dump) and when I got back the fire and police were at my house and the road blocked off. It seems a 75 foot maple tree across the road from the house was blown over in a very strong wind gust and had gone straight through the roof and into the living room and mud room. The house made the news stations down in Boston as well as here in New Hampshire. Fortunately my daughter had gone to work early and my dog was lying by the basement door waiting for my return. Now we are staying in a hotel trying to decide on a construction company to come and demolish half the house and rebuild. The insurance company was able to come and get the holes in the roof covered before the blizzard hit. So my card making is on hold for a few more months instead of starting up again next week as I had planned, At least it wasnt a fire, no one was hurt and we are appreciating the response we have had from the people in this small town especially the fire and police department chiefs and a neighbour who we had not yet met until this happened. The photo shows one of the holes in the roof.

Look at me Nana!! by Carol Clarke

We were really lucky to have a fabulous sunny day for our Cuddle & Giggle Day this week and we headed off to Harwick Hall in Derbyshire with 2 year old Austin. After having a picnic in the stable yard, playing football, bowing bubbles and looking round the gardens we headed down Lady Spencers Walk for a nature ramble. There was lots of mud and puddles for Austin to splash and squelch about in and lots of logs and trees to climb about on too! lol Below are 2 of my NEWEST On the Shelf Cards for a NEW Big Sister or Brother. A lovely way to introduce children like Olivia above a child to the fun of having a new sibling. Watch out for more Coming soon ... Just as soon as Ive drawn the characters! lol

FINALLY THIS WEDDING ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND by Wanda Lipski

We may only have been away from home for 24 hours to celebrating this 5th anniversary, but what a lovely 24 hours. We spent the night in a little (chateau) hosted by a really charming couple who literally welcomed us with open arms and two adorable labradors ...And who doesnt want to sleep in such a pretty bed, under a goosedown quilt. The highlight for me - the bathroom.... Let me explain. From the moment I had my first child, I was always being pestered when in the bathroom , and often had a bath with one or other of them when they were small. I remember my son once clambered into the bath with me ... fully clothed! At the time my hubby said that for my birthday, he would look after the children while I had a bath. Well champagne glass in hand, it became a birthday tradition, and although the children grew up, we exchanged baths for showers so luxuriating in a bubble bath retained all its magic. Since we were on a barge for my birthday, no bath, so I made the most of the occasion and had a delicious wallow. Like Elizabeth I I bathe on my birthday whether I need it or not ! Ive been very busy playing with celebrities and have added quite a few this week, so laugh, be happy and ENJOY!

Imogens 6th Birthday! by Kelly Barker

Last week I shared a picture of my baking efforts for my daughters 6th birthday cakes, well I got them all iced and assembled to make one of Imogens favourite shopkins characters Dlish Donut. It didnt turn out quite as neat and perfect as I would have liked, but I very rarely do any baking, so I was pretty pleased and they did taste good, which is the main thing. Imogen had a wonderful birthday, she had her party on sunday with princesses and Spider-Man making an appearance and then on Wednesday she had school and drama club, then we picked her up and surprised her with dinner out and Nanny (CUP designer Sue Way) and Granddad were there waiting for us. She really had a lovely time and when she opened a present from my mum and dad she told them she had wanted that for a whole year! Here is a photo of my cake and one of Imogen looking crazy happy on her birthday morning :) I have 12 designs on special offer, perfect for lots of occasions, please take a look x

Extra Large by Tina Fitch

I went to Tesco last week and as I walked in there was a large basket of flowers that had yellow labels, So I took a quick look .. I couldnt believe my eyes they had some beautiful Lilies which I just love for 5.00.. big bunch too.. I bought them home and stuck them in water and a little lemonade to help them along hahahahah.Well they have fully opened now and I have to say I have never seen lilies so big in all my life they are 25 cms across and thats without straightening the petals out as they are curved over .. They normally were priced at £15.00 for the bunch I picked up and I am so glad I did.. Just look at the colour and the beauty in them.. Needless to say I will be returning this week for some more if they have some that is.All files in all formats for all machines all here ..https://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/
