Going Back In Time by Janyce Cotterill

One of the places we visited recently was Hay Farm Heavy Horse Centre in Northumberland. What a super time we had. The objective of the centre is to raise awareness of the importance that heavy horses played, not only in farming, but also many other activities throughout their era. When you see they type of farm machinery exhibited it makes you realise what a tremendous job these animals did. It was lovely to get so close to these magnificent strong horses and to see all the work that is being done there to ensure that old working skills and practices are not forgotten. Do check out their website and Facebook page to keep up to date on all the shows and events which go on at the farm through the year. Its well worth a visit. Boleyn ground For Film Stunts by Tina Fitch

Well I was very fortunate to visit the old Upton Park West Ham football ground recently, to visit a very good friend! My husband first met Peter Pedaro when they were filming the Sweeney! With Ben Dew and Ray Winstone... What a lovely pair they are I have to say. Anyway Peter is a stunt guy and has featured in all of the Harry Potter films and Fast & Furious and to have him as a friend I feel very privileged indeed. But back to my news for this week, He asked us if we would like to go visit him to watch his stunts for the new film being released very soon ( Final Score) With Pierce Brosnan no less.. I wasnt allowed to take photos not even a sneaky one with my phone I was most upset, Pierce is one of my fav actors of all time .... Anyway we watched as they filmed the stunts of a motorbike along the rooftops. OH how fascinating it was to see how all this is done with no accidents and no injuries... Loads of people there to make sure everything went as it should do, but it took ages for just one scene .. But what a show and I cant wait to see the film when its released very soon... I have loads of new designs this week all dedicated to Christmas which is just around the corner...I have featured the Snowman cards this week and there is a few of them to choose from with family member names included.. What a beautiful autumn we have had. Here is a picture of my garden, I only wish I could have taken a 360 degree view of it because it is like that all around. Rudbeckias, fuchsias, begonias, Michaelmas daisies, Helianthus and lots of roses still in bloom, so much late colour but alas I dont think it will last much longer, as soon as we start having frosts it will all be gone.

Fall Friendship Festival by Diane Hannah

I recently had a booth at a local fall festival. First thing when we arrived at 6:00 AM, the organizers had hot coffee and doughnuts for all of the vendors, very nice touch. There was staff to help set up tents and help unload the participants craft items. I had handmade bird feeders, and wind chimes. I had the pleasure of spending the day and with my dear friend, Betty and my grandson. They were also both so very helpful. In all there were 150 vendors. The food was amazing, and there was a huge crowd, that seemed to enjoy the day with their families and shopping.

New House by Janet Roberts

Next year we will be moving back to Lancashire to be near our family. We moved to Worcestershire with hubbys work 12 years ago. Hubby has now taken early retirement so we cant wait to go back north to be near our children and grandchildren. Our new house will be ready at the end of January 2017. When we reserved our house there wasnt much to see as the builders had just knocked down a derelict mill and cleared the land ready to build. A few months has passed since then and last week we went up for a look. We were amazed to see our new house now standing there in front of us although it still needs a lot more work doing!

90th Birthday by Carol Clarke

It was my Dads 90th birthday recently and we all visited him. He had 3 cakes in total to make sure everyone got a piece and this was just 1 of them ... maybe we should have had candles saying 30 on each of them! What!!!! A Selfie!! by Joanna Swinton

Just have to share this selfie with you, Lucy, my granddaughter was rocking herself and when she was as far forward as she could be, shed click the phone and take a picture of herself. She was amazing to watch. Shes only 18 months old. Here she is taking selfies before she can even talk. What a darling. I looked up selfies on the Internet. Most are taken to go on Facebook and the word has even got itself into the dictionaries. In fact in 2013 the Oxford English dictionary announced that Selfie was word of the year. It seems that nowhere is guaranteed to be selfie free. Off the planet Buzz Aldrin took the first out in space selfie in 1966. Its estimated the photos taken by people aged 18-24, 30% of them are selfies. I wonder how many are taken by babies under the age of two.

Jessicas New Toy by Sue Way

On Sunday all the family went up to Hackney to visit our son Tony for his Birthday. We walked the dogs to a nearby pub & had a lovely roast dinner. Then wandered back for tea & cake. Even though it was Tonys Birthday as he and his girlfriend hadnt seen us for a while they had a present for Jessicas birthday too. They had brought her this brilliant R2D2 inflatable remote control toy. As you can see Jess loved it & played with it for hours! Today I am showcases 2 of my my latest Vintage Christmas mini kits. Open Day Weekend by Joan King

Hubby and I decided to do another weekend OPEN DAY with his landscape artwork and my card making and crafts etc. The Saturday was very good but the Sunday was much quieter. Its tough these days trying to sell anything even at silly prices. The advertising takes up a good percentage of your income though. Still it was worth doing and it is our last one before Christmas. I have now decided to give away a whole lot of my cards to a charity for fund raising. At least I can feel good about that.

So a few weeks ago I wrote a news story about my daughters having a photo shoot with my cousin Jenny of jenjbphotography. Jenny loves trying different things in photos and I just had to share this fab Christmas theme shot she got of my girls. I loved it as soon as I saw it and it actually really captures my girls personalities so well. We have been decorating at home this week and I just cant wait to get some of these photos printed and hung on the walls.
