My Beautiful Nikky by Vicki Avcin

Last Friday we said goodbye to one of our beautiful furbabies. Little Miss Nikky who we affectionately knew as Likky. She got her nickname as she was a real little licker. She loved licking your arm or fingers, and would lick her brother for ages, like a mumma kitty licking her babies. Miss Nikky was 18 yrs old and she will be missed greatly. She was one of 5 kittens born to Miss Kitty and we still have abrother and sister. One kitten was given to a new home when they were 8 weeks old, one brother was sadly sent to kitty heaven about 5 years ago because of illness. So she will be able to see Boots again now. Lion and Betsy, the two remainingkittys are missing her badly. Her mumma Miss Kitty is 19 years old and we still have her also. Likky or Lik Lik as we also called her, had gone blind and she wouldget lost in unfamiliar surroundings but she knew her way round the house and area immediately round the house. I knew that the day was coming when wed have to say goodbye but it doesntmake it any easier when that day comes. We recently had one set of Grandkids up to the holidays, and Likkyenjoyed all the cuddles in bed with Zac. Im glad they had somequality time together. It was almost like she hung on till she sawthem again as we dont see them as often as we used too. So she really enjoyed the attention. The house isnt the same without her the last week. After having to do so much for her and make sure she was safe and knewwhere to go, there is a emptiness around here now. And watchingTV isnt the same either as she would snuggle in and purr the wholetime we were watching TV. My beautiful little girl is at peace now, playing over the RainbowBridge with her brother Boots and two of our other kittys, Horry and Munchkin. I miss her so much.

The designs Im promoting are more of my faux corner designs. Check out all of them in this design. Quick and easy to make.

Conquering my fears by Denise Murray

Well i finally did it! I have been wanting to go on the Emirates Air Line ever since it was built but with my fear of heights it was always going to be a test of nerves. Now dangling 90 metres above the River Thames is not really my idea of a good time but i do like to try most things if i can so i finally plucked up the courage....and it was great! I was a bit nervous as we left the docking area and i gripped my husbands hand very tightly but once i started looking around at the views my fears disappeared. It was wonderful but over too quickly so now im looking forward to my next flightHere are two of my favourite latest makes

Painting with Sudacrem by Mary MacBean

This was the sight my graddaughter woke up to a few days ago. Her daughter, Niamh, who is almost 2, had opened a pot of Sudacrem - one of the stickiest, greasiest substances known to man - and painted herself, her chest of drawers and some of her bedding with it. The furniture and clothing washed with a bit of effort, as did the child. However, her hair took 4 washes to return to normal. Her mum made her keep her hood up when they were out to hide the big greasy streak. The strange thing is that when she put the photo on Facebook, lots of other people replied that the same thing had happened with their children. So the message is - keep baby cream well away from toddlers.

These are 2 of my new Diamond Gatefold Mini Kits. I hope you like them

1st day at day care by Joan King

This is my 5th grand child who was having her first day - well 2 hours really at Day Care. Her mum is very lucky as she works in a Church and they have given her 12 months maternity leave. They also own the day care right next to the church and have offered her half price for Brooklyn if she would like to come back to work. They obviously miss her. She feels the need now for a bit of human interaction so has decided to start off with two part time days a week. Brooklyn attended the day care for a trial to see how she goes and did 2 hours and they said she never stopped smiling. The next day she went back for another two hours and the same thing happened. She seems to like the interaction with other children/toddlers and loved it. I think this will make it easier for her mum to start back at work for a few hours a week and then she can gradually increase it when the time is right. They have told her if Brooklyn needs feeding she can pop in there and feed her. What more could she ask for. This photo was her when she came home from her first day there and I so love her cute backpack which she thought was fun to wear. Its hard to imagine she is already 11 months old. How time flies.

Summer showcase by Kelly Barker

Each summer my daughters take part in a dance showcase with their little dance school. This year they had some really cute costumes and all the girls worked really hard. A couple of the girls in one of the first dances had a bit of stage fright and didnt want to dance, so I was especially proud of Jessica as she did the part of one of the other girls with out being told too, so that another little girl would still have a partner. Jessica takes three different styles of dance and so was in nearly all the dances, I couldnt believe how well she remembered them all. Imogen did ballet and tap and looked so cute and fried really hard and always kept an eye on what her big sister was doing. I was a very proud mum. This week I am showcasing my new floral couture design and one of my older designs of the Art Deco lady.

Crafty Bob: Hi Paul, I have reactivated all your past orders. She named her Cheri the centipede and has spent many happy hours playing with her new bestest friend! lolBelow are 2 of my NEWEST designs. Watch out for more Coming soon ... BASTILLE DAY by Wanda Lipski

Today is the French National holiday, when we celbrate the start of the revolution. Celebrations begin on the 13th and we are always treated to fireworks - every village has its display, and its one use of public money that I thoroughly approve of! To celebrate the day, this rose finally opened in my garden and I photographed it to share with you all. What you dont get from the photo is the incredible perfume. Not being the worlds best gardener, this is the ONLY flower on the bush, so it is definitely a news moment for me.

Brownie Is Settling In by Patricia Platt

Brownie has now been here a few weeks and she is settling in just fine. This is a photo of her after she has had her bath. I give her and Popcorn baths every few days to keep them healthy. They have delicate skin so I have to use a special oatmeal soap for them. She and I are still getting used to one another. I think I trusted her too early as she managed to get in a few nips that felt like really strong pinches. We have a bit of a cuddle after bath time. Sometimes I let her run about on the bed and she loves to head for the pillow mountains. :)

Walberswick by Sue Way

We had a lovely couple of days away in our touring caravan again last week & went back up to beautiful Suffolk. We like to go out and about exploring new places & were lucky enough to be told by CUP Crafter Deborah Sweet of a pretty little village called Walberswick. Even though its just across the water from Southwold, which we have been to many times, we didnt even know it was there! Its like stepping back in time, from the ruins of St Andrews Church as you drive in, to the pretty little cottages and village green. Walberswick is a beautiful, unspoiled village situated at the mouth of the River Blyth where it meets the sea. If you wander down to the seafront and marshland you will find fishermens huts and houses on stilts, although they are probably holiday homes now. There are no amusement arcades or candy floss, but there are lovely tearooms and pubs and a sense of peace and quiet. It is such a lovely place that we will definitely be back for another visit next time we we in the area. Today I am showcasing 2 of my Cute Little Dolls. I love these and will be uploading lots more in the next few days. Dont forget to click follow on my home page ;) http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

Celebrating Roald Dahl by June Harrop

Over the weekend we visited Tatton Park. This year marks 100 years since the birth of the author Roald Dahl on 13th Sept 1916 and the park is holding lots of different events throughout the year to celebrate. Scattered all over the park were large cardboard cutout of all the different characters from all of his books. There is even a glass elevator on the lawn.He first book was printed in 1953 and his stories have been published over 200 million times in 51 languages. A firm favourite in my childrens childhood with Willy Wonka being their favourite. In this day of technology its still nice to know that children still find enjoyment and magic from reading his books. Below is a photo of the giant cardboard stand of the BFG with Sophie.
