Easter Parade by Janice McFarlane

Easter is quite late this year, and I am thankful the Primary School at RAF Benson is still celebrating it. Each year the school have always had various celebrations and activities and one activity the children love is making their Easter Hats. They are allowed some parental help, like if hot glue guns are being used, and some cutting ( which in my daughters case isnt great anyway and she says that). This year Harry wanted his hat to be a tractor as he absolutely loves them. So this is his version of a tractor and I think he has done a great job.

New computer on its way by Judith Henry

Its been over a year since Ive posted a new product. WOW where has Judy Henry been. Im glad to say Im trying to get back to designing popup cards after a fall last May on Mothers Day. This landed me in hospital with a broken arm. And of course it was my right arm.Ten months later Im trying to slowly get back to designing. Its not easy keeping up with technology! New computer and cutting machine is on its way to my house! This means I wont have to struggle with outdated software and hardware but… the learning curve is going to be a struggle.Its been a while that Ive seen advertising in the newsletter for cutting files. I hope you all will follow my journey into fresh new designs. Here are some of my favorites from the past.

Its hard to believe these two events, graduations and Easter, are coming up. The nice thing about cutting file designs is you have the ability to modify to keep old designs fresh. Add dates, change sentiment and personalize.

Winners are Grinners by Vicki Avcin

My daughter has taken up soccer as a sport now that they dropped the division she was playing in doing the ice hockey. She did do soccer when she was at high school but hockey is her preference. Last Wednesday night she told us she was playing a game against my local stomping ground and if we wanted to go see, it would be nice and close for us. Her team the Wynnum Wolves was against Jimboomba so of course we went. It had drizzled rain all day and by night time it was quite a lot heavier. As I am having quite a big surgery on Friday I didnt want to catch a cold or worse so rugging up, armed with umbrellas off we went. The first half it was hard to pick her and her partner out as they both play, as the game was very much being played up the Jimboomba goal end. Score at half time was 1-1 so whatever was said in the break really gave them what they needed. Being that ends were swapped, it was still really hard to pick who was doing what as Wynnum kept the ball up the other end of the field too. I could see that goals were being scored but wasnt till after the match that I found out that my daughter scored one goal, assisted in one goal and her partner kicked two goals all in the second half. So Wynnum beat the locals 5-1. The whole game the rain was beating down but when goals are being scored who cares. Winners are Grinners!

Pretty Nails by Sue Way

As my son is an actor, he is usually around to care for our granddaughter Daisy while her mummy is at work. But he is away working at the moment, so good old grandad has stepped up to collect Daisy from school and feed and entertain her till mummy gets home. He had lots of fun decorating Daisys nails using the gift that came with her comic. I think you will agree he did a very good job. I will be able to go with him in a few weeks, when our daughter can look after the dogs, so I think I might help her to make some cupcakes.
