Young Voices by Janice McFarlane

Last Friday a number of pupils from RAF Benson School took part in the annual Young Voices choir at the BP Pulse Live Arena in Birmingham. My youngest grandson Harry was one of the participants and my daughter volunteered as a parent helper. Young Voices runs in various venues around the country over a month. The children form the largest childrens choir in the world, with over 9,000 taking part. For a number of weeks the children learn a selection of songs which they sing in front of a live audience. There are also special guests who also perform accompanied by the children. This year was MC Grammer, a popular Tik Tok person who raps childrens stories, then there was Souparnika Nair who was a semi finalist on BGT and finally Strictly Come Dancing vocalist Tony Blaine. The children love it also meeting with peers from other schools. Its a long day, but it is always enjoyed by everyone.

Barbers chairs by Heather Howes

for the past few weeks my partner and i have reupholstered the barbers chairs for my sons salon in Norwich they were in a very sorry state when they arrived my craftroom has been a hive of activity it was a relief when they were all done but we are so proud of them everyone thinks they are great ,my partner is by trade an upholsterer so ive learn a lot from him ,its good we are both crafty people and we do lots f stuff together we have reupholstered our bed settee in all patchwork materials too thanks for lookingx

some of my new designer resources can be used on cup with your own designs as long as they are not sold as is there are a few sets and i am working on a wedding set next xx

Apart from designing cards, I also have another love - Watercolour Painting. I have been pursuing this hobby for over 30 years and I never get tired of it. Recently I discovered Liquid Charcoal which can be used like watercolour. I have tried drawing with normal charcoal but more often than not got it everywhere. So liquid charcoal was a nice alternative for me. I love the effect I can get when using this medium, especially with portraiture.

My little helper by Vicki Avcin

We have our grand daughters other cat here now that the grand daughter is living with us. This is in addition to the other cat that we were supposed to be looking after for 3 months but has now turned into 6 years. This little sweetie, Narla, is a very affectionate little girl and loves sitting on either hubbys or my lap while we are at the computer. But now when we get out of our chairs she thinks that maybe she can help out and has taken to sitting on my desk. Not sure if she enjoys playing games or thinks she could be CUPs newest designer! Love her to bits but it is hard trying to work when she has taken a liking to the desk over the chair or ones lap.

Silly Sam by Sue Way

My dogs make me laugh every day. Sam is only three but still has a puppy brain, he is so funny. The boys stayed with my daughter the other day, and Sam kept stealing an old dressing gown that my granddaughter had given their little dog to snuggle. The next day I remembered I had a similar dressing gown that I was going to throw away. I called Sam upstairs and gave it to him. I think you can tell by the look on his face he was a very happy boy. This week I have added six superhero designs. All little boys and girls love superheroes! Please drop me a request if there are any other characters that you would like in this style, and I will be happy to make them for you.
