my little helper by Jane Minto

Thought Id share this cute photo of my little helper I had today, my daughters cat Marie (named after a cat from The Aristocats movie). She usually sits beside me at night for a while and falls asleep, but she was there today watching me make my new cat design. Then she settled down right in front of my keyboard! Maybe she was trying to tell me to stop working and feed her :)

Little Goslings by Tina Fitch

Went to Lackford lakes the weekend and came across these. The Mother lifted her bottom up and 7 baby goslings came creeping out! They were so cute. The photos dont really do it any justice their feathers were just so fluffy. And their little wings were cute! Their feet were really large considering they were babies.. and they really were tiny .The parents Canadian Geese were huge in comparison, Ive never seen them with little babies so it was a first for me

I won! by Sue Way

I go in for a lot of little giveaways on Instagram, sometimes just to help promote a small business. A few weeks ago I spotted a giveaway from a fabric company. The prize was a fat quarter bundle of your choice. As I am new to sewing and building up my fabric stash I just had to go in for it. And I won! I was so excited. I spent some time looking through all their gorgeous fat quarter bundles and eventually chose this pretty bird one. It arrived very quickly and is gorgeous in real life and excellent quality. Now to decide what to make with it.

The … by Carol Clarke

... last and final part of the Wedding Trilogy! lol As you can see we were really lucky with the weather. We had lovely sunshine for most of the day! My Granddaughters wedding was such a lovely occasion too! Almost all of the close family and friends on both the Bride & Grooms side stayed at the venue for the whole weekend! So many that everytime we walked into the restaurant or walked along a corridor wed meet up with people we knew! lol All the close female relatives had matching PJs in different colours and from 6.30am on the wedding day we were together having breakfast plus hair and make-up together with the Bride. As the wedding and reception were in the same hotel we didnt have far to go for either of these events. Everything went to plan beautifully and we had a fabulous day/weekend in a gorgeous place surrounded by our old and new friends and relatives! The Bride and Groom stayed on for another few days for the first part of their honeymoon. Graduation time is coming up soon and as my Granddaughter graduated last year youll see a couple of my graduation downloads below. There are lots more to choose from too! lol

A Right Royal Knees Up! by Janice McFarlane

Well what a glorious weekend of Coronation celebrations, and it certainly wasnt over for my daughter and son-in-law. A couple of weeks ago they received in the post an invitation from the Lord Chamberlain at Buckingham Palace inviting them to the Kings Garden Party on the 9th May to celebrate the Coronation. Panic buttons pressed for my daughter on what to wear, and she certainly doesnt do hats so went with the popular fascinator, choosing classic black and white. The day finally arrived and off they went. There still seemed to be a buzz from the weekend and everyone in good spirits. The King and Queen werent in attendance as they had a prior engagement, but they werent disappointed, as they got five members of the Royal familyso to speak. The Prince and Princess of Wales, Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Princess Royal. The food was delicious and very fitting of a Royal Garden Party, the bands were playing and for the majority of the time the rain held off. What a wonderful memory for them both.

Old and New by Vicki Avcin

Well this house just keeps giving us (not so nice) surprises. Since weve moved in we have found so many unexpected things that need fixing or replacing aside from the renovations we had to do inside the house. This time it is the hot water system that began leaking about a month ago. The neighbour is a plumber and he had a look at it and said it could blow up at any time. Problem was that the company that made the tank is no longer in business so just getting a replacement wasnt an option. We started getting prices for different options and decided to stick with the split system rather than the one that had the tank on the roof where the solar panels are. Meanwhile the old tank just kept leaking more and more and I was dreading getting in the shower one night and all of a sudden no hot water. Fortunately it held on and we got a new system fitted. They had to replace the solar panels as well as the tank. Looks so much better than the old one too. So no more panicking that wed not have hot water especially as the cold weather has arrived and we had the coldest morning recorded in May for decades last Tuesday.
