Flashback to the 70s by Janice McFarlane

Sometimes when looking through old photographs, you come across one that sparks a million memories. This one took me back to 1977 when I was 15, and still at school. This was my boyfriend, Paul, who was home on leave from the RAF. I had met him in a whirlwind. He gatecrashed a get together I was at, and we just connected. He was 17 at the time. Paul was my first love, and we were very serious fora couple of years. Unfortunately through circumstances beyond our control we parted. I was devastated, but as with all young relationships we move on. We both married other individuals and both our marriages only lasted 5 years. One day, this guy walked in the department store I was working in. (I worked for Estee Lauder). Came to my counter and asked me if I would like to go for a drink at lunchtime. Turning around, it was Paul, the rest is history as I married my first love and we have been married now for 35 years and counting.

Last years Fox Dog by Tina Fitch

Oh dear just look at him now... I fed this one for months then in December of last year he just disappeared , I didnt see him at all until Tuesday of this week.I looked out of my window and thought Oh I have a new fox, when I ventured out to see him I was really upset.I took my camera out to take a photo so i could definitely see if he was another new one, But when I looked closely it was my old friend...It really did bring tears to my eyes.He has mange I think and was coughing and spluttering I felt awful seeing him like this.I got straight onto essex wild life and ordered so Mange powder so If by any chance he did return I could feed him with powder in his food Hoping this would make him better. He actually looked a shadow of his former self it was really heartbreaking to see.

Babies by Amanda Assenbruck

You may have noticed i have been absent from CUP for a while. I have been away at my daughters awaiting the birth of my latest grandchild who threatened to come early (as her mother had done to me). As it turned out thought she stayed put almost to term but my other grandchildren were grumpy she was taking so long so Mumma bought them a kitten! So i have had plenty of kitten cuddles as i miss having a cat. Today i will have baby cuddles at last as my newest grandchild was born yesterday.

Two of my latest cards. I have many Christmas cards on special at the moment too.

A ….. by Carol Clarke

…. Fabulous Autumn/Winter Walk! Well weve had all sorts of weather this week from very, very cold to warm and wet and with very wet (the clouds opened and we had torrential rain downpours!), soo foggy we couldnt see the end of our garden, and bitterly cold days with icy winds too! But we also got some lovely days as well, and this photo was taken on one of those days. It was a perfect day for a walk … and sooo that is what we did down a few of the off the road tracks and trails near us. We then had a rather Scrummy luxury hot chocolate to complete our afternoon out! Lol Below are two of my Everlasting Calendar Kits ... There are lots more to choose from too! lol

Hibiscus by Vicki Avcin

Well once again the hibiscus that was here at the new place has blossomed with predominately white flowers but also has pink flowers on the same bush. Usually only has one or two although the other day (and I forgot to get a photo) it had four all out at once. We thought maybe there was two bushes planted together but one branch we looked at had both colours on the same branch. Cannot see any signs at the base of two plants either. Have tried to research why or how but not a lot of information but it can happen the reason is because of a compound known as an Anthocyanin. So we dont sit and ponder the wonder of it, we just sit and enjoy the pretty display.

Thanksgiving/Christmas Cactus

by Judith Henry

My husband did a little research on my holiday cactus. I have two blooming and they both have pointed leaf segments. There are several different variations. Sometimes my pink one blooms at Halloween and Easter. Ive had it for over 20 years and just the past two has it have a growth spurt. Ive tried to propagate it through leaf cuttings but have not been successful.

Our Boys by Sue Way

I took a couple of lovely pictures of our beautiful Golden Retrievers the other day. Hubby, who is semi-retired, was at work, so Sam was following me around and acting like a Drama Queen as he was missing his daddy. Billy didnt mind as he is a mummys boy. Although they were both missing their walk, they are too big and strong for me to walk on my own. Thank goodness daddy was soon home and normal service could be resumed lol
