A Special Time by Janyce Cotterill

I got a huge surprise the other day when this beautiful bouquet of flowers arrived at my door. It wasnt my birthday, wedding anniversary was way past. When I opened them they were from a dear relative and the message read, Everyone needs a special time in their day, hope this is yours. The blooms made me feel so happy, they did their job very well and to think they were just sent because.....how very kind. We all need moments like these in our lives, even if we have to create them ourselves. So next time you are are out and about buy yourself a little something, be that your favourite chocolate or a small bunch of flowers or a lipstick or a magazine. As the saying goes......because youre worth it! Im leaving you with my latest design, two suitable for Fathers day or the men in our lives. Thank you for your interest.

(Paint) Work in Progress by Vicki Avcin

Last week I posted how we have been waiting to start painting the house. Well…….. yayyyy……. We no longer live in Kermit Cottage. The weather eased up and Wednesday we had a lovely fine day, sunny, nottoo hot, and almost no wind/breeze, so we hooked into prepping early (covering windowsand doors etc) and by about 10.30 in the morning we fired up the spray gun and paint started hitting the walls. Had a 20min lunch break and kept going. By 4.30pm we had the eastern, northern and western sides of the house close to done. There was one strip on the very front of the house that couldnt be done with the gun, so I got up and painted that by brush this afternoon. So now with a couple of touch ups with the paintbrush this afternoon all thats left to do now is the white ceiling under the patio and the eaves at the end of the house. So glad we had the spray gun because to paint with a brush wouldve taken a lot longer than a day! I am so happy with how its looking and it was such a good feeling to finally getting it done. Just got the southern side of the place to go now but winds supposed to be moving in again bytomorrow (Friday) but it shouldnt take long to do……..the prep takes the longest covering the windows etc. Fingers crossed we can get it finished before the yuk weather happens again.

This weeks promoted designs feature animals. A bumper kit of toppers with all sorts of pretty designs and a cute little kitty design. My end of month sale is currently on too!

Hugs!!!!! by Sue Way

So we have gone further down our roadmap in the UK and are allowed to have family in the house!!! We have all had our second jab too, so feel a lot more comfortable meeting up. So last weekend Our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters came to our house. As soon as they came through the door all three girls gave us the biggest hug! Both hubby and myself were close to tears of joy. We had take-a-way for dinner and watched a film with the girl in their pjs. It was just like old times. Billy was so happy to be able to cuddle up with Jessica after a busy day of playing with her. My 4 day SALE starts today with 20% off everything in my store!! https://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/

Devils Tower National Monument,

Wyoming, USA by Sandie Burchell

We just got back from a 2,700 miles road trip across several states. We stopped off in Wyoming and we visited the Devils Tower National Monument. You may remember this from the movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Ive included a photo with myself in it so you can gauge the scale of it! We walked all the way around the base of it which was about 1.5 miles. It is considered sacred by Northern Plains Indians and indigenous people. A very interesting geologic feature that protrudes out of the prairie surrounding the Black Hills of Wyoming.

As Fathers Day will be here soon, I am promoting some designs which can also be used for male birthdays. 20% off everything in my store SALE started today until midnight (UK time) on Monday, 31st May 2021. Great time to buy! Thank you for looking! x

My ... by Carol Clarke

... Sweet Little Companion! Often when I take a short cut between some houses and onto a footpath at the edge of a field this cheeky chappie greets me with his lovely song! He isnt my first friendly Robin though as for years I had one who visited me when I was sitting outside on the decking. I called him Scruffkins as his white feathers were all scruffy! lol Below are two of my 3D Everlasting Perpetual Calendar Desk Set Kits ... There are lots more to choose from too! lol

A Wheelie Good Time by Janice McFarlane

Both my grandsons love to be outdoors with their Mum and Dad, whether going for a walk or to the park etc. On this occasion it was a bike ride. Harry who is 3 has just learned to ride his bike, he did have stabilizers on for only one session then asked to have them removed again as he wanted to try riding his bike without them. So off they came and off he went no problem. My daughter thought having a balance bike as a toddler was instrumental in Harry just being able to ride a proper bike. There were no such things as balance bike when I was young (when Noah was a lad lol). It took me ages and I was much older than what Harry was and then it took me ages to get the hang of it. I was amazed that Harry did it almost immediately and now can enjoy a bike ride with his older brother. I think the photo says it all wheelie!

OH TO HAVE A CHEF IN THE HOUSE

by Wanda Lipski

No, no, I have one. This was such a cute dessert, I just had to share it with you. My darling husband was very proud of the fact that he had a hob that had NEVER been used, but a microwave that had been changed 3 times, totally worn out by reheating ready made meals. Since hes been married to me, hes taking up cooking .. er food preparation. Who needs a Michelin starred chef when you get served such a cute little car? This is to save my hand that is in a splint as I have sprained by thumb ... highly inconvenient for the church organist who has had to request a leave of absence and rather tricky when it comes to making up my cards, but I hope you all enjoy my two latest twist & pop cards. Have a good week and ENJOY all your new found freedoms.
