The Big Ride... by Janice Shehan

Im getting ready for the Big Ride, that happens every year at this time. Next week Santa Claus, or what ever name is used in your area, will be making his journey around the world to all the homes of the good boys and girls. Of course, all children are good and hope to receive something under their tree. Or perhaps you dont have a tree, we always do. But let us NOT forget the real reason for the season, Jesus birthday; thats what we are celebrating. I hope everyone has a blessed Christmas and may their wishes come true.

Some of the symbols of Christmas, both fantasy and religious.

Angelic by Janice McFarlane

As we are fast approaching Christmas, Ive reflected on the past year. No one ever thought we would be in a situation such as we have experienced. Our whole lives and the way we operate, the way we think has changed dramatically. Weve seen such tragedy as the virus has spread across our country, but one thing stands out and that is the immeasurable work of the NHS. That is not to diminish the work of all other front-liners and key workers. We have clapped for them during the first lockdown, as they risked their lives to save others, with some also contracting the virus. We also need to remember they are still continuing the fight as we now go into the Christmas period, the virus isnt giving us a Christmas break. In honour of our NHS Heroes I needle felted an Angel, a reminder of what they have done for us and are still doing for us as well as those who also lost their lives, saving the lives of others. Let us remember them who will still be working hard over Christmas, and to all of you stay safe and well and enjoy Christmas a little differently this year.

Merry Christmas from Billy! by Sue Way

So only a week to go before Christmas and the tree is up! When I started decorating it Billy was very interested in the baubles, but I told him not to touch and that they are mummys. He is very good when I say this, but as they are ball-shaped it must have been so hard for him so he spent about 20 minutes having a little mumble to himself every time he walked past the tree lol Luckily his pep talk worked and he hasnt touched it. He is such a good boy. I would like to wish you all have a happy and safe Christmas. Thank you for continuing to support us. https://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/

Queen of the skies by Tina Fitch

Heres my daughter sitting on the wheeled if the last Virgin Atlantic jumbo. They had a special event to see it before it goes and to have a 3 course meal in upper class cabin all socially distanced of course! She had a lovely day even got her well deserved shot of her standing in the engine which most cabin staff long for.Shes so thankful to still have her job as many were made redundant! This year has been an awful year for most of us I think.I think we will all be pleased to see the back of 2020. I know I certainly will after losing my beloved Dad in June due to cancer..Anyway thats all from me till after Christmas So with that said Thank you sincerely to all my customers old and new for your continued support in buying my designs Have yourselves a lovely Christmas xx

A .... by Carol Clarke

.... few of the lovely colourful berries that we have seen recently on our excursions out into the wild and wonderful countryside that surrounds us! It is sooo lovely to see all the berries,. Their colourful spots of intense colour along the paths we walk are like nature decking the bushes and hedgerows with lovely Christmas trimmings! lol They are also great for the local wildlife too!

Party Time by Vicki Avcin

Last weekend saw us travelling to Brisbane to attend our gorgeous grand daughter Zoes 18th party. Due to Covid only a limited number of people could attend. Although restrictions have been listed, when it was booked it was under stricter restrictions. So only parents, grandparents and a few close friends were able to attend. It was a very hot windy day, and we had challenges keeping tablecloths on tables, the table scatters were scattered all over the ground and we had to tie the balloons to chairs to stop them being blown away. It was held at a boutique brewery local to where they live and the food was excellent. Zoes cake was an icecream cake and serving had to be done quickly as by the time we sang happy birthday and she cut it, it was melting!! But it was a wonderful day and awesome to catch up with family. Zoe has 3 sets of grandparents, her dads dad and myself, her stepmums parents and her dads Mum and her partner. We all get on so well and had so much fun. Zoe topped the night off by going into the city with a few friends and partying the night away.
