I .... by Carol Clarke

... was soooo pleased to find this gorgeous Fly Agaric fungi in the local woods. After not being able to find one and then finding one last week, but it not being the best specimen! This one whilst quite small is just perfect! It so reminds me of the toadstools that were in my fairy tale books when I was a little girl! Lol

Its a cats Life by Janice McFarlane

Sometimes I think it would be great to be a cat. Not a care in the world, gets fed regularly, plays, gets fussed over, a good massage every day, groomed, sleeps whenever and wherever they want, and cute. My Bailey is no exception. He is a four year old Seal Point Ragdoll, with a gorgeous nature, and unbelievably soft fur which I could stroke all day long. Bailey loves to sleep on the computer desk, probable because it is warm. Unfortunately if Im working there it does cause problems. I have to keep moving the keyboard along (instead of moving the cat) and if he moves and his fur touches the monitor slightly it can alter things, as my screen is a touch screen. He also, for whatever reason loves to sleep on the remote for the TV, so like all avid cat lovers instead of moving him we try to gently prise the remote out from under him, so as not to disturb his beauty sleep. He always comes to bed when my husband and I do, and likes to sprawl out so we end up sleeping on an angle at times. Seriously how much bed space can one cat take up! He is also known for his 3am zoomies charging around like a maniac, jumping up on things like the coat hanger shelf, but then cant get down, so muggings here has to get up to rescue him. One thing is for sure, I wouldnt change a thing as he makes me smile everyday. Now he is walking up and down the desk to attract my attention as he wants some Dreemie treats. Better go and fulfil his demand!

Furious! by Sue Way

When we walked Billy on the beach the other day, he was lucky enough to meet lots of friendly dogs. There was one that was a bit timid to start off with, but they were soon having a lovely play together. The family she was with were sitting on the beach, so after a little while, we continued our walk. On the way back we put him on his lead & walked along the promenade. He was watching all the other dogs on the beach below. Then he spotted the one he had been playing with ... playing with another dog! He was doesnt look very impressed doe he? lol My SALE is now on!!! 20% OFF MY WHOLE STORE ~ EXCLUSIVE TO CRAFTSUPRINT ~ ends Midnight (GMT) 31 Octoberhttp://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way

Wishing and hoping by Vicki Avcin

Well after a week of forecasts of severe storms, big hail and flooding rains we were all keeping our fingers crossed for some rain that would fill dams and put some moisture back in the ground. You can see on the photo that we were in the target area to get something (red area)…. Anything! All the weather Facebook pages were reporting this as well as the Bureau of Meteorology and slowly reports came in from various places of heavy rain and hail. Great its coming but the photos of the ominous black clouds indicating the storm front was coming didnt really and we waited, tracking it the storms/rain on the radar. But as usual as it got closer all we got was a thin cloud line and only a little rain. We did get hail on Wednesday, about the size of a pin head and 16mm of rain. Once again our dome worked well. So although we have a tinge of green in the grass, we are still very much in the area that is drought declared. More storms are forecast for Saturday and Sunday but I dont think anyone round here is expecting much to happen. Showers maybe. All the talk of La Nina weather pattern does keep our hopes alive as it covers all our wet season which goes through till next year. What it all means is that our fire season is still very active and we are still getting turned out to fires. Maybe that will change soon! Fingers crossed!

Featured designs this week is a great card for a Sweet 16 and a pretty red roses and butterfly design.

The Colours of Autumn by Janyce Cotterill

She comes in nice and slow does Autumn. Just gradually, day by day she starts creating her own magic scenery, softly and gently until we go - WoW - look at those colours! Mellow and laid back, unlike the brashness of summer, who is a absolute show off from the start. Autumn is understated. We start to breathe in the slow pace of life and begin to lean in and reluctantly accept the shorter days, whilst taking in her beauty through our eyes. Here are just a few photos I took the other week whilst out on a local walk, Autumn in her finest hues. Im leaving you with a couple of my latest sheets. These are the single sheets in my latest Christmas collection. I introduced you to the mini kits last week. Thank you for your interest. I hope you are all staying well and keeping busy with all your Christmas crafting. Im loving all the festive cards that are appearing in my crafters gallery and on the cup FB page. You are all magnificent.

Modern technology by Amy Perry

This year has been such a tough year but thanks to modern technology i still get to see my mum dad and nan, it hasnt been easy as some of you may know they emigrated to spain earlier this year (designer nick bowley) and we had so many great plans this half term week i was supposed to be in Spain visiting them but obviously that cant happen and next year is looking unlikely too.Lots of birthday this week and we managed to squeeze in a birthday video call for my youngest who turned 10! its so nice to be able to see them all and know they are settling in well

Bird Scarer by Tina Fitch

Here this week we have the GryX saker Falcon that keeps RAF Lakenheaths F-15 aircraft safe..He scares the other birds away from the runway hour by hour...The Gyr Falcon is the largest species of Falcon in the world and originates from around the Arctic circle. ... He is almost black in colouration and shows the variation of colours that falcons can have. There is also Scratchy, a large Gyr x Saker of pale white and tan colouring which is the one you can see here..RAF LAkenheath bought it out on Wednesday to the forest entrance where I happened to be taking photos of the aircraft launching and landing.. It was huge and scary LOL.. His owners bought his lunch out too so this photo is actually of him with his lunch a Crow Oh he took large bits of the inside of the crow.. I didnt like watching to be honest but I had never seen anything like it before..I had just finished my Macdonalds Bacon roll too.. so didnt go down well with me hahahahahBut he keeps the metal birds safe when they launch and land so thats a good job he has..

Halloween cactus? by Judith Henry

I know there are different types of Christmas cactus. I have one that blooms twice a year, Christmas (Thanksgiving) and Easter. But this year it is really early, Halloween. Spooky, right? Must be something like global warming, sun shine, shorter days. Whatever it is I love to see it blooming. Do you have one blooming?
