Isnt .... by Carol Clarke

... Nature wonderful!!?? Despite, or maybe just because of, all the rain weve been having recently the local woods and lanes have the most wonderful array of fungi. I took these photos when I went for just a short wander around the wooded areas! Sadly I didnt get a photo of the lovely red and white spotted Fly Agaric that Id seen the day before. There were too many people near it to make social distancing possible and when I went back it had gone! Maybe Ill get a photo of it next year.

So proud of my Hubby by Vicki Avcin

Wednesday 7th October 2020 was a bittersweet day. My husband was presented with his National Medal for his time in the Fire Service. The National Medal is given for 15 years service of exemplary time serving in the service. It unfortunately was a different presentation this year, due to covid-19, as no family were able to attend. Not even wives/partners. Normally it is a day for family to attend to celebrate at these presentations. Was hoping for some official photos but they havent come through yet so had to make do with taking a photo when he got home. While he was down being presented with his medal, I was at home, sadly watching a livestream of my ex First Officers funeral who had passed away suddenly just over a week before. With restrictions still on the numbers that can attend funerals meant I couldnt attend that either. But I am so proud of my hubby receiving his medal. It is a huge honour to receive it.

Todays featured cards are DL Trifold Kits. A pretty lavender roses design and a Christmas design. Different designs available also

Water Park by Carol Dunne

I am fortunate to have some beautiful places not too far away from me where I can go for a breath of fresh air. This is a photo of Sale Water Park in Greater Manchester which was a lovely place to sit and have lunch today, watching the sailing club bobbing about on the water. It was made when they needed to build an embankment for the motorway in the 1970s. The motorway goes from Manchester to Liverpool. The hole they dug out was very deep and then flooded with water which is 27 metres deep in some places. It provides a great local resource for sailing and other water sports and of course the wild life and birds have benefitted greatly.

Two of my latest designs for you to see. They can be made with 3 or 5 cubes and fold flat for posting.

Clever Girls! by Sue Way

I am always proud of my granddaughters, but this week they made me extra proud. At school this week Imogen who is nine took the Hodder reading test, as the headteacher wanted to assess the childrens levels after lockdown. Well, Imogen got a reading level of 12 years and 9 months, which is the highest level you can get on that paper. She obviously enjoyed telling her 12-year-old sister that she is older than her lol And Jessica sent me this brilliant picture of her art homework. Such clever girls. I hope you are all keeping safe and well. Thank you for continuing to support us. I love looking at all your beautiful cards and designs. https://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/

Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah, USA by Sandie Burchell

We have been to Utah for a few days and visited Bryce Canyon National Park. It was breathtakingly beautiful and is a series of large natural amphitheaters with thousands of rock pinnacles which are called hoodoos which look very eerie. The rock formations are bright orange and look beautiful against sunny blue skies. The park is 20 miles long and the pinnacles are 8,000 – 9,000 ft tall and you can drive all the way through it and there are lots of stop-off points to get out of the car to take pictures. We visited other beautiful places whilst we were there so I will be posting a few photos of my trip over the next couple of weeks.

This week I have some new Shop Shaped Card Mini Kits. Here are just a couple of them which are currently on Special Offer. I have more planned so please keep looking in the coming days!

Birthday celebration by Joan King

The youngest of my five grandchildren celebrated her 5th Birthday a short while ago and was so looking forward to starting school. She has started now and she loves it but now she is on two weeks holiday. She celebrated her birthday with a small party at home. I had to make something different so I made a cake in papercraft with unicorns on it. These were designed by Carol Clarke. The kids loved it and I filled each one with different varieties of wrapped chocolates. My grand daughter Brooklyn is the one standing up in the middle of the top photo. Below is the cake that I made in slices. She looooved the unicorns on them.

Honey the alpaca by Amy Perry

I have a very fluffy chihuhua and she tends to get a bit urm messy (nicest way i could put it lol) and in these uncertain times its not the easiest trying to get her groomed so i found my husbands head shaves (im so sorry hubby) and i shaved her myself granted she hated it but it was well over due and she seems like a puppy again! However! we didnt realise she had such a long neck under all that fur and now she resembles a alpaca which is so funny & cute! so for no reason whatsoever here is a picture of the alpaca for you to all giggle at!

Eye Spy by Janice McFarlane

Lockdown has affected all sorts of things, including toddler groups. My youngest grandson Harry has just started nursery, but no full time. He used to go to a toddler group on the RAF camp where he lives, run by the on camp church. The Padres wife set up a group called Little Frogs. Of course because of lockdown etc., the group could no longer meet indoors, so they came up with the idea of setting up Little Frogs, The Explorers. This was to be done following social distancing rules, but also give the children some fun and education. High Visibility vests were purchased as well as large magnifying glasses, so the youngsters could go out for a walk once a week and explore. Harry absolutely loved it, although on the picture with his arms spread out, he reminded me of an Italian person about to greet someone and shout Mama Mia lol.

masks by Anne Lever

I am lucky enough to have a sewist for a daughter, I cross stitch, but I cant sew for toffee. She has made me lots of fabulous colourful washable masks. I have enough that I can go out and put it straight in the wash when I get home. I have bright hot air balloons, gorgeous willow leaves, autumn leaves, holly for nearer to Christmas, and even a spotty Pudsy one!

I havet been to conningsby for at least a year now but caught this one at a different base whilst on a visit. They dont excite me as much as the F15 ... They dont seem to make a lot of noise like the Eagles do LOL..Probably be sometime before I can actually visit again now due to the virus spreading like mad..In fact probably be linited visits to anywhere at the moment... I am sure I have loads of shots though you havent seen yet..I am out shooting most weeks However the last couple I have had to slow dow, due to getting about with the amount of people taking up the new hobby.Oh well another week has passed and we will soon be at Christmas..
