My little helper by Shirley Young

I was trying to take a photo of one of my cards when my cat Tuppence decided she would get in on the action by sitting in my photo cube. How she managed to get in the cube without knocking the card over I dont know but she managed it somehow. Needless to say if I try to get her or her brother to actually pose for photos they never want to co-operate and disappear as soon as the camera comes out !!.

We do like to be beside the seaside! by Sue Way

We are so lucky to live a few minutes walk from the beach. But being a seaside town it has been so busy here lately, so we only get to enjoy it early in the morning. As you can see from this picture Billy absolutely loves splashing about in the sea! Now schools are back open and the weather is cooling down, us locals will get to enjoy our beach all to ourselves again. I hope you are all keeping safe and well. Thank you for continuing to support us. I love looking at all your beautiful cards and designs.

Huge Egg by Vicki Avcin

Hubby was checking the fencing on our property the other day and found this huge egg near the dam in the front yard. We have been trying to work out what it is. My first thought was a carpet snake (python) but they usually lay a bunch of eggs with fairly soft shells. I thought possibly because the egg had dried out the shell may have hardened. But where are the rest of them? Showed the neighbour and she too thought carpet snake. She took it to give to her grandkids down the road, but they tend to think it is a goose or turkey egg. Ive not seen goose or turkey eggs that big though. Plus we dont know of any geese or turkeys in the area. My second guess was a goanna egg. We do have some big goannas around here. So the origin is unknown still but thoughts are that possibly a fox (as we have them in the bush next door) has taken it from somewhere and dropped it in the yard. Although it is cracked more like something has hatched from it not from getting crunched in a foxs mouth. Whatever laid it mustve been big because its huge. Hopefully we will eventually solve the mystery.

My designs today are a set of new Designer Resources, some pretty ribbon butterflies and an Australian Christmas design.

First Day Back by Janice McFarlane

I should think a lot children are happy to be going back to school or starting out on their new adventure for first timers, whilst parents may feel some relief and trepidation of the unknown, with social distancing and new rules because of the covid-19 virus. My two grandchildren are no exception. Alfie was really looking forward to going back to see his friends, although they will still be in bubbles. But not so keen on his new teacher, who apparently is very strict. Perhaps not a bad thing all things considered at the moment. Harry on the other hand has his first day at nursery, and whilst he is looking forward to it, his mum may be a little more anxious at letting her baby go, but Harry has been ready for a while now for nursery and I am sure will love it. Last week the family travelled from Oxfordshire to see us and the boys stayed overnight while my daughter and husband stayed in a hotel overnight, it was a belated wedding anniversary treat from March which had to be cancelled because of lockdown. So we had some lovely quality time with them after not seeing them since before Christmas.
