Beautiful Sights! by Vicki Avcin

Well much of the drought and bushfire ravaged areas have had some good rainfalls over the past couple of week. All fires are officially now declared Out. The photos show the Blue Mountains where fire climbed the side of the mountains and a week later were waterfalls. Other photos show how the landscape has gone from dry and brown to wet and green. A lagoon that was nothing more than a puddle of mud is now full and the area around is lush and green. Although weve had rain, most of the areas that were declared drought areas still are in drought as there hasnt been enough rainfall to get the ground moisture out of the range between being in drought and not in drought. So a lot more much needed rain needs to fall yet. But its a start and towns that had run out of water for the town supply and were getting truckloads delivered into the water supply daily or were about to run out of water by the end of February now have enough water to keep the supply going for another couple of months. Great News!!

Todays promoted items are just two of my new uploads. Lovely cards that can be used for Birthdays or Weddings or Anniversaries. They also have inserts included in the kit.

Last weekend our granddaughters Jessica and Imogen came for a sleepover! Grandad took them to the cinema to see Sonic, then we had a lovely evening followed by a long walk on the beach with Billy the next day. Billy absolutely loves children and especially his girls He follows them everywhere and even slept with them all night. He is such a sweetheart. Going to a land down under

by Janice McFarlane

I dont know about anyone else, but I was deeply affected by the terrible bush fires in Australia. I have no connections out there, no relatives or friends out there, but I do have a love of animals. Some of the tragic videos I saw of Koalas, Kangaroos etc., brought me to tears. I really wanted to help in some way, I thought by making a few items I could perhaps raise funds etc., so I crocheted a koala but added my own twist to it by shaping the head more adding furry bits. I poste a picture on Facebook in a group I joined to keep up to date with what was going on out there called the Animal Rescue Craft Guild, in Australia. People from around the world were sewing, crocheting, knitting pouches and nests for the rescued animals as well as making various items to help raise funds. I did not expect the response I got from posting my offering of the Koala I had crocheted and one I had needle felted. I was overwhelmed. To cut a long story short, I was approached by an Charity in Australia called Animal Link, after seeing my pictures and they asked me if I would consider making a koala for them to sell to help raise funds. I was more than happy to oblige, but instead of making one I have crocheted four all with different expressions and a baby attached, along with a needle felted koala which I will mount on a plaque, a Koala head brooch, and some keyrings. So a package will be winging its way down under, and I am so pleased I have been able to contribute in some small way.

The ... by Carol Clarke

... Big Sky!! In between the storms we had a lovely clear day this week and we grabbed the opportunity to go out for the day. The sun might have been shinning but it was still very very cold so we were well muffled up with hats, scarves, gloves etc! lol This photo was taken not far from Hardwick Hall looking over towards Pleasley Pit Country Park, one of only a few pits in the area to retail its Headstocks. Below are two of my NEW 3 in 1 Floral Heart - 3D Shaped No-Hole Fold Back Card with Decoupage Mini Kit . Watch out for more ... Coming Soon! lol

Soaring sales by Dianne Jackson

Last February about this time I did a news article about my Sister, Cynthia reaching 5,000 sales in just under 2 years.........well, just one year on she has done even better and made another 5,000 sales. This is half the time she did last time. She has now reached 10,000 sales and has earned me the top referral award of £75. I must say though I am not surprised at all by this. Her designs are so unique and her quirky sense of humour makes her joke designs just that little bit different than all the other joke designs. She always puts her own little twist to her designs that always bring a smile to all who receive them, I am showing the NHS needs your bed, this is a simple but humerus get well card that is bright and cheerful and also knee and hip replacement. I sent this one to my consultant when I had both my new hips done. It was just perfect for the situation

Special flight by Tina Fitch

Well I got a big surprise this week from nine other than Warwick Davies. He was in the special Star Wars flight to Orlando and my daughter was in the crew line up.Now whilst I know he starred in Star Wars I loved him for his work in Harry Potter. So When It came to Amber meeting him he actually made me a special video message which I thought was absolutely amazing considering I wasnt there in person.Apparently he went through the complete aircraft doing selfies and autographs. He was only supposed to do an hour but was out of his seat for more than 4 hours if the flight I shall keep my message safe I know that!

Winter weather in iowa by Judith Henry

This morning it was -10 and the high was 10. But the sky was blue and the sun was out. The trees were covered with new fallen snow. Really a pretty sight. The weather has made this week a good crafting time. Several project were completed. When it was snowing the flakes were large and made wonderful snowballs.
