Repurposing a Suitcase by Vicki Avcin

Last year when hubbys cousin came over from Canada, the suitcase she was using was smashed during the flight over. It was a fibreglass suitcase (but we think it was more like a plastic) and somehow the corner was missing and there were big cracks up one side of it. They were waiting for the luggage on the carousel and she was called to the side and shown the case which needed tapping up with gaffer tape just to get it from one flight to another and then to our house. We needed to dismantle the case to put it in the bin but I said to hubby to keep the wheels off it…you know one of those it might come in handy sometime items! Well we have this big planter box out the front of the house and when it rains we have to lift the big heavy pots out to put them out near the edge of the patio to get the rain, and I came up with the idea that maybe they might work on the planter box. Hubby wasnt so sure at first. We measured them up, but the centre part meant they would be difficult to attach, so out came the dremel and I cut out all but the outside so theyd fit flush to the legs on the planter. Hubby screwed them on and it worked well. Might not be the flashest wheels on a planter box but it has made life a lot easier to move around with the plants still in it. Now all we need is some rain, as that was the purpose of doing it to begin with. So there is a repurpose for all sorts of things. Even suitcases!

This week another of my recent uploads of my Pop Up Layer Cards. One an Easter design and the other perfect for a 16yr old or could be for any teenage girl or someone who just loves fashion.

Chanelling Jerry Lee Lewis or Not! by Janice McFarlane

My grandson Harry never ceases to amaze me with the antics he gets up to. He has to be the funniest kid I know. Not only that he is completely fearless and he is an expert at climbing. Just recently my daughter took him to one of the toddler play groups she goes to, this one is based at the church on camp at RAF Benson. Harry saw the piano lid up and made a beeline for it. My daughter just happened to catch the shot as he was preparing to stand up. The look on his face to his mum, clearly shows that he knows he shouldnt be doing it, but hey, he was going to do it anyway. When she sent me the pick it just reminded me of Jerry Lee Lewis and the antics he used to get up to whilst playing the piano and singing Goodness Gracious Great Balls of fire. Harry has the curly hair to match too. I would certainly rather hear that than Baby Shark, do, do, ddo do fifty thousand times in one day!

Two new kits both with a romantic theme. One humorous the other very romantic. Ideal for Valentines Day. Thank you for looking.

What can we do Grammy? by Judith Henry

Four 3 days in a row our children did not go to school because of subzero temperature. The cold wave broke and the temperature rose 60 degrees to 37 degrees. If it was spring and had that change we would say summer is here too soon. But it didnt last long. Today the children were home from school due to gusting wind and snow. So what do we do with the kids? Pull out the ceramics and paint which requires 3 coats. An all day project. Then take them to be fired. Obviously one of the children was only three and her coats were in different colors. But didnt we have fun!

Quick valentine card embellishments even the kids can do.

A ... by Carol Clarke

Frosty Winters ... Walk! I love going for a walk every morning before settling down with a nice hot cup of coffee and a laptop on my knee. We are lucky to live in an area surrounded with fields and green spaces with lovely walks in every direction. I frequently walk down this little lane that doesnt even have a name! I just loved how the Wintery sun made everything look soo beautiful, especially the way it made the snow and ice sparkle and crunch! Below are 2 of my NEWEST Valentine Rubber Band Pop Up Box Card Designs ... Watch out for more coming soon!

Hot Day!!! by Joan King

I couldnt believe it - hubby and I went for a walk mid afternoon at low tide so we could paddle in the water but with temps in the mid thirties there was only one couple on the beach..... It was a wonderful walk and we enjoyed the serenity of it all. Amazing for mid summer..... Unfortunately since my nasty accident the heat is making everything worse so I have had to stay away from the beach even though the heatwave continues.

Mickey Mouse in Diamonds by Tina Fitch

Well what can I say! I had the pleasure of accompanying my daughter to Honk Kong last week with her job, As most know she works for Virgin Atlantic as air crew and I get to spend some time traveling with her.We took the 12 hour flight to China and decided to visit Disneyland .. another Disney on my list of visits..Here I shopped till I dropped and this was just one of the things I came across..Diamond incrusted Mickey.. My god it was just beautiful.. but for the small price of £18.000 pounds LOL I decided to just take a photo and leave it in the store, And carried on with the rides..Had a good 4 days.. Looking forward to my next trip very soon.
