Joy in Nature by Janyce Cotterill

Theyre noisy, theyre gregarious, theyre sociable and theyre starlings and an awful lot of them seem to be in my garden at the moment! First of all I seemed to be putting out lots of food for the parents to greedly take off to their nests, then their young offspring fledged the nests and arrived in our garden. Last count there was over 20 young starlings in the garden hungrily demanding to be fed by their doting parents. It is costing me a small fortune at the moment to provide food for this growing number. But they are fascinating birds to watch and I feel it is a privilege to have nature so close at hand. They will be heading off the fields with their young shortly so Im enjoying this spectacle while it lasts. My latest four design sheets are about about the joy of nature and how blessed we are to be able to see such beauty. I hope you like them. Thank you for your interest.

Meet Billy! by Sue Way

As you know we lost our darling 13-year-old Golden Retriever Alfie a few months ago. Our house feels so empty without him. Hubby wanted to get a rescue dog, my heart isnt ready for that just yet but it is ready to love a Golden Retriever puppy. So we started our search for a breeder and found a lovely lady whos girl had just had a litter of nine puppies, 3 girls and 6 boys! Mum is very light cream and dad is very dark almost red in colour. Two weeks ago we went to visit the pups and chose our new baby boy. He is one of the darker ones and it will be interesting to see how his coat changes as he gets older. I received a video of him from the breeder yesterday and he has already grown so much, I think he is going to be BIG! We have another 4 weeks to wait until we can bring him home and we cant wait! We are already puppy proofing the house and garden, but it will be a learning curve as we havent had a puppy for a very long time. We chose the name Billy as that was part of Alfies KC reg name and I hope Billy gives as much fun, love and many happy memories as our beautiful Alfie did. This week I have added a new set of Seamstress Ladies to my store. http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

Cheeky Chappie! by Carol Clarke

I so love going for my morning walks in and around the countryside straight from my front door. We have had some lovely warm sunny weather this week and my walks are accompanied by beautiful birdsong and mostly fleeting glimpses of birds. But this Cheeky Chappie (a young robin) settled on the fence just in front of me .... We had a few moments of conversation together before we both moved on. What a lovely start to my day it was too! .... Below are 2 of my NEWEST designs ... Watch out for more ... COMING SOON!

Start of Winter by Joan King

Today is the start of winter. It was a glorious day with clear blue skies and not a drop of wind and I went for a walk on the beach which was totally desserted with my grand daughter who is two and three quarters now and her mum. It was a nice treat for me and then afterwards we went to the local cafe and she had a fluffy which I am sure most people in the UK with young children know what that is and a huge sausage roll which she ate completely. These are some photos taken on the beach. One was the walkway through to the beach. The tide was out which made it perfect for walking on.

Hawgs! A10 Warthhogs by Tina Fitch

Another from Nellis AFB in March taken at Red Flag Training..What a plane this is.. its such a badass so they say ..The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a single-seat, twin turbofan engine, straight wing jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic for the United States Air Force..I watched these launch and land daily at Nellis and I have to say they are very agile indeed... And easy to photograph too hahah they are a lot slower than the other jets so I was able to always catch them in the view finder..All files in all formats https://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/

Catching Up by Vicki Avcin

Last weekend I had the pleasure of being able to catch up with a couple of friends I havent seen in about 15 years. Dave used to be a firefighter with me when I was at Jimboomba station in SE Qld. It was while he was there he met his wife Debbie and about a year before we left they were married across the road from the station in the Little Brown Church. It was a fantastic day to see them so happy, Dave in his uniform and Deb looked stunning. I will never forget their wedding…… and I may or may not have been party to wrapping their house in toilet paper a couple of nights before their wedding while they were not home. They moved to Perth and we moved to Bowen and we havent seen them since then. But last weekend they came over for a friends wedding here in Hervey Bay. They flew over and hired a motorhome for the drive up from Brisbane. Debs Mum and sister also hired a motor home and made the trip as well. We had Dave and Deb parked here most nights and we sat and talked until way past bedtime. I found out I dont do late nights/early mornings well these days ! But the baggy eyes were worth it to sit and talk and talk and talk catching up on everything and everyone. The wedding they had to go to was on Monday and then they left on Tuesday to drive back to Brisbane and catch a flight home. Dave did not want to hand the keys back for the motorhome as they loved it. They both do a lot of camping and I can see the camper trailer being sold/traded in for one of these vans in the future. I really hope its not another 15 years till we can catch up again. It was fabulous to see them.
