Its a Cats Life by Janice McFarlane

The continuing saga of my cat Bailey and his sleeping habits continues. We all know cats sleep most of their lives, I believe up to 18 hours a day, and Ive also found it very funny where Bailey decided to have a snooze. Some in some very strange places, so after a hard nights work, chasing spiders or flies around the house, or just fresh air in my opinion, he was obviously extremely tired. Usually he curls up on my husbands lap, on the odd occasion mine, but I cant stand the acupuncture he gives me before settling down lol. This time though I think he was so tired, he couldnt make up his mind weather it was more comfortable on my husbands lap or the couch so decided he would have the best of both worlds. Now I can understand it if he curled up on the couch with his head on my husbands knee, but this is Bailey I am writing about and he decided to do it the opposite way round, with his head on the couch and his rump on my husbands knee. Its most definitely a cats life!

These are two of my latest kits, a beautiful Carriage Clock Stationery Box, and matching Stationery Set. Thank you for looking.

Very chilly by Carol Dunne

I have just returned from a holiday in Gran Canaria. We have been many times before this time of year and the weather has been beautiful. The hotel was fantastic, this photo is just one of the swimming pools and yes ! the sky is blue when I took the photo but as you can see there is no-one in the pool. The pool was heated but it was too cold when you got out again. One of the locals said that he was 50 years old and never known the weather so bad. The wind was so bad two trees were uprooted in the hotel grounds. At other times it was mostly showers and very cold. Never mind the food was great as was the hotel. Just unlucky with the weather I guess.

The 4 step roses kit comes with separate alphabet and numbers sheet so you can add a date or name in the spaces.

New Family by Joan King

I have been working on my family tree for sometime now and you tend to get your highs and lows. I was adopted and have been looking for the birth father for some time. That is an ongoing search though. I had found out who my birth mother was but she didnt want to know me. She has since passed away and taken all the information with her. Just recently through DNA I connected with a cousin in America. He had a cousin in New Zealand just 2 hours drive from me. We managed to meet for the first time in 66 years yesterday and it was joyous occasion for both of us. This part of the maternal family had a ritual. The man of the house had these amazing braces - yes you heard me right and when they die they are passed down to the eldest son to wear on ceremonial occasions!!!! It is my cousin Michael who now has them and he had to have a photo taken of us both on this ceremonial occasion with the braces on to satisfy the rest of the family!!! It was hilarious as he was wearing his shorts because it was so hot...... Still it was nice to find the first members of my family on the maternal side and actually meet one because he lived on my side of the world. I have now got 4 new cousins on the maternal side which I knew nothing about all confirmed by DNA. I did find I had 2 half brothers as well and one didnt want to know me and the other couldnt wait to get to know me and we have seen each other numerous times over the last 8 years or so when I have gone to to the UK and once when he came to New Zealand. The hunt for the paternal side goes on. This is a photo taken of Michael and I yesterday. I think he is about 10 years older than me and sadly is seriously ill and unsure how much time he has left now. This may well be our only meeting so I shall treasure it.

I have just worked on a new series of drop flap cards and will keep adding to them. I am showcasing two in the series. They are all multi linked.

Two Tone Roses by Vicki Avcin

Anyone that knows me knows I definitely dont have a green thumb. Well I do but the only variety of things I manage to grow without a problem is weeds…….. they just seem to take over the garden and occasionally some of the real plants that are managing to surviveactually flower. So imagine my delight when some of the of roses growing bloom! I was especially chuffed a couple of weeks ago when one of the roses managed to put out tworoses from the one stem. Usually its one bud at a time that opens so I never have a massivedisplay and these two roses pictured both opened on the same day. But look at the differencein their colour. The pale pink is the usual colour with a hint of darker pink on the edges of the petals. But the other one was a pale pink with the deep red colour on the edges. They were beautiful and the perfume from them was divine. These always have a lovely smell but it was even more so from both of them this time. Now I have no idea what Ive done (I did do some weeding in that garden in the couple of weeks prior) so did they reward me for clearing around them or was it just the rain that wed had and theyd had a good drink? The three roses I do have growing are over 10 years old and were here when we brought the place so probably a lot older than that, and this is the first time 2 different colours from the one stem of the same plant weve had since being here. Might be time to give them some TLC and they might reward me again.

As my news is about Roses Im promoting only two of the many designs and background papers and resources featuring -roses of course!

My Hat by Carol Clarke

This weeks Cuddle & Giggle day was dry and sunny but the temperature was only around 4C and there was an icy blast from the north wind sooo out came my lovely warm hat with a fake fur trim. Some of the younger members of my family think my hat is very funny but it keeps me nice and warm so I like it. Sooo on our outing to Clumber Park I was kept nice and warm but when it came to time to leave Olivias house she took my hat off me and put it on. Ohh how I wish it looked so nice on me! lolBelow are 2 of my NEWEST Designs ... Watch out for more coming soon!

Ouch! by Sue Way

I love exercise and healthy living. As well as being a vegetarian for 26 years I try to eat healthy too. I have a treadmill in the shed, which I use at least three times a week and I also belong to a very friendly gym at the local leisure centre, which I visit a couple of times a week, to exercise my body and my jaw as I do a lot of talking lol On off days I might use my kettlebells at home to do a little workout. I recently joined an online fitness challenge group and this months challenge was to do a different number of mountain climbers every day. I had never done them before, so had to look at videos to find out how to do them. I wasnt very good at it, but never give up on a challenge. Unfortunately while doing them in the gym the other day, I suddenly felt an excruciating pain in my calf! At first, I thought I had cramp, but after limping back to my car and somehow managing to drive home I realised I had a badly pulled muscle. So that is that for the next few weeks as I rest it back to health. I will be going stir crazy in a few days lol Alfie is wondering why mummy isnt walking him, but is looking after me and makes a lovely soft footrest. This week I have added a couple of new mini kits, including one for the boys at last! http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

My youngest daughter Amber was 22 on the 31st January.. And she flew to New York for her Birthday on her favourite airline.. Yes you guessed it Virgin Atlantic! She flew premium class being upgraded.. And just look what they did for her.. Cake candles although they couldnt be lighted due to being in the air But what a lovely surprise. And they all sang Happy Birthday to her too. She was over the moon so much so she text me 40,000 ft up to tell me and send me the photos. She flew on the new Dreamliner aircraft well new to the fleet anyway.. She had the most wonderful time in New York!
