Glasgow - Take Two by Janyce Cotterill

These are the final few pictures from my recent trip to Glasgow. The top photo show the super Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. It opened its doors to visitors in 1901. A place you could visit time after time after time and still see something new. A beautiful building. Bottom left is one of the stunning window in the medieval Glasgow Cathedral. It has one of the finest collections of stained glass windows in Britain. Amazing! Finally is one of the wonderful wall art murals which the city shows off so well. This is called, The Hip Hop Marionettes made by Rogue-One, aided by Art Pistol. A real eye catcher! I must visit this city again soon, there is so much more I wanted to see. Im leaving you with my latest 2018 calendar and my Christmas insert collection. Thank you for your interest.

Prima Ballerina by Janice McFarlane

My husband and I recently went to see our 5 year old granddaughter Evie perform in her first dance show. As a beginner she was in 3 dance numbers, Acrobatic, Modern and Ballet. We are so proud of her, and she did really well. She looked beautiful in all of her costumes. She is picture in her ballet costume and looks as pretty as a picture. Our very own prima ballerina.

These are two of my latest kits, both Christmas themed. A beautiful luxury card with box and gifts, and The Magic Castle Express, based on a certain boy magician and his friends. Thank you for looking.

Fossil Hunters! by Sue Way

Our 9-year-old granddaughter Jessica is rock crazy and I wouldnt be surprised if she became a palaeontologist when she grows up. Last weekend my hubby took her fossil hunting at a local beach that is known to have fossils and sharks teeth. There is even a new visitors centre there, with a cafe and an information desk to find out more about your haul. Jess packed a rucksack with her rock and fossil reference books and hubby packed some snacks! Almost immediately hubby found a fossilised sharks tooth, then they went on to find fossilised cockle shells and a fossilised peice of wood. Jessica had a brilliant time doing something she loves and having her grandad all to herself for a few hours. This week I have added a few more to my Sweet Little Christmas series. I hope you love these as much as I do. http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

Hunting Season by Diane Hannah

Well it is hunting season in Georgia, USA. Pictured are my stepson, Josh, daughter-in-law Brooke, and their two sons. The older is Dawson, and the younger is Cameron. As a family they do so many things together. Hunting is on exception with this crew. Josh and Brooke also have two daughters, but only one of them hunt. The youngest daughter would rather be cheer leading, reading a book, or doing something girly. Never a dull moment with a large family!

Frosty Morning Walk by Carol Clarke

For the last 3 plus years Ive started every day with a two to three mile walk. It doesnt matter what the weather is like ... I put my walking boots on and set out in the cold, wet, sunshine etc etc .... this week we had our first frosts of the year and so I had to take this photo of the sun shining through the trees as I went through a kissing gate stile just a short walk from my front door!

Woodland Walks by Gillian Hutchinson

Now that the summer has gone we have stayed away from the beach with the dogs as the sea is too rough and they love to swim. We are back to using the footpaths that we are lucky to have close to us. Mak loves these walks along the fields but the pheasants that keep startling him have been a bit of a pain. But the past few weeks, hes plucked up the courage now to give them a good run for their money...as long as they keep running away from him ;)

Yellow Mean Causing a Stir by Vicki Avcin

Driving into Brisbane last Wednesday we noticed the continued upgrades to one of the busiest sections of motorway in the city. These have been ongoing for years as they open one section they start working on the next section. It is supposed to make it easier driving on our roads…… well except for the large volumes of traffic that have to contend with area constantly being closed so they and upgrade that, then next thing you know another part is closed off. Frustrating! But something caught our attention this time the number of yellow men in the middle of these works. These yellow men are yellow figurines in fact on pieces of PVC pipe. Some just stand there and others point a finger up and they are all part of guarding sensitive plates or warning of a safety hazard. Each figurine had been placed on top of settlement (testing) plates that are used by the workers to monitor how much soil can be loaded onto the ground. This is extremely important due to the nearby wetlands making mud and settlement difficult to build highways on.They are also a safety component as it keeps the big machinery aware….well you wouldnt drive at a person would you? Some of these yellow men point up when there is overhead powerlines also. The figurines have created a bit of a stir and it has been a good opportunity for the construction companies to let people know this is the sort of thing we will do in the future.

Surprising Cormorant by Valerie Dawes

During a visit to the Norfolk Broads recently, I was surprised to see the unexpected sight of a large bird, standing motionless on a tree with its wings outstretched.I asked my companion who is a local of the area, just what was happening and was amazed when he explained that unlike most waterbirds, cormorants to not have water-proofed wings. After swimming or diving, they have to extend their wings in this way for them to dry! Something else I never knew!!

Playing with Shots by Tina Fitch

Our weekly visit to RAF Lakenheath this week was a bit of a let down to be honest, The weather was really overcast and foggy in places and especially foggy on the runway ..So after a busy day with launches and landings I had to make my day worth while. So on taking the shots from my card to the pc I was really disappointed as they were very grainy in places and you could see the awful weather we faced on taking shots. So I loaded some of the shots into light room and played a bit there, and this was the result, However you can still see the weather in the background and see its a bit foggy, As you can see from the shot takenI dont often play with my shots or should I say edit them, I normally just crop zoom in and save.. Still all this is a learning curve and I just love it!All files in all formats only here https://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/
