My husband and I are ecstatic to announce the birth of our daughter Aeryn Catherine at our home in the U.K. on Friday November 13th 2020 at approximately 10.15pm weighing 8lbs 3.The birth was a near perfect experience with minimal damage and I am so grateful to the amazing midwife home birth team who kept me grounded throughout labour and made the entire event possible.Aeryn is a new baby sister to our son William and has made our family complete.

Since moving into our new home last November we have had a lot of work done, including a lot of DIY.The decking leading into our garden had seen better days however as we are on a budget to get the kitchen done I decided the best option would be to clean it up and give it a lick of paint.Due to the current situation there has been a paint shortage across the U.K. and so it took me several weeks to get a hold of the shade I wanted - a beautiful sea foam blue colour.

I was a bit wary as the colour was indeed quite bright but the finished effect is stunning!I filled our deck with colour flowers, hand painted rocks and they are guarded by John and Ringo (The Flamingos)I just need to finish painting the garden fence now...

Last week was pretty awful. On Monday evening I realised that I hadnt seen our cat Neko all day and she hadnt come out after our son William had gone to bed.

I finally found her hiding in the babys room and I knew something was wrong.

She wouldnt eat or drink and her abdomen was swollen.We took her to the vets on Tuesday morning who initially thought it might be gastroenteritis but they wanted to take a blood test.

She came home with us but then had to go back in the evening - it was her kidneys.She had to have treatment for kidney disease, something she would never recover from.

They wanted her on a drip to try and get her kidney levels back to normal.

I spent three nights not knowing if we were going to have to say good bye to our crochety feline and my heart was breaking.On Friday night the vet called and said they were happy for us to bring her home.

She will be monitored for the next few week and will have to have a special diet from now on.

She could live for weeks or years, its still too early to tell.We are so grateful to have her back, even if it ends up being for only a little while longer.

Seven months of agony, frantic phone calls, sleepless nights, tears, anger, boring our friends, family and co-workers with our frustration ... the house of our dreams is finally ours.

We originally had our offer accepted on this charming detached property in May, but due to demanding buyers of our old property who messed us around on price for four months before the losing their own buyers our chain collapsed and they were unable to sell their own property again.We thought we were going to lose the house we had fallen in love with, then just over two months ago we got another buyer... and finally we have just spent our first night in our forever home

Its the most wonderful, busiest, exhausting time of the year! But we made it through and Baby W thoroughly enjoyed his second ever Christmas.

It has become clear to us that unless it has wheels Baby W is not interested... as shown with his obsession with this Vava that our friend bought for him, which put our gifts thoroughly in the shade.

He is one lucky boy who has been thoroughly spoilt by all our family and friends.

We will for ever be eternally grateful for all the love and support that we have around us.The only thing is that its his birthday in January so we are going to have to do it all again!Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone who has supported me over the last twelve months.

I cant wait to get 2019 started!
