For my Mum's 60th Birthday we had a few family members go out for dinner. It was a lovely gathering that my Mum enjoyed thoroughly.
She also got a lovely surprise from her great nephew and niece . . . they bought her a huge balloon with mini balloons and a cuddly bear inside.
I hadn't seen these in years and it certainly brought a smile to everyones face - so cute. This is my first BUMPER kit and one of my new edgy designs

Well yesterday my Mum turned 60.
It was a lovely day - a few family members showed up and she had some beautiful cards and gifts. This evening we're going for a meal - a very small event as she doesn't like a lot of fuss - and the cake arrived this morning!
It's made by someone who knows what they are doing and, thankfully, not be me :-) This is a picture of the cake. I adorned the picture with some of the first ever designer resources I purchased from CUP.
These are a few of my new "Edgy" designs - shaped edge card fronts with decoupage.

My Mum turns 60 in a few weeks - just before Mother's Day. Preparations have been underway since her 59th Birthday regarding what gifts she would like and how she would like to celebrate.
Part of the preparation has been arranging a night out and, of course, choosing a perfect cake. Being a little crafty I like to have a go at all things creative so I baked some cakes. Even though my Mum isn't a huge fan of cakes her 60th Birthday celebrations could not pass without cake!
This phot shows the cakes I baked and my Mum - doing her duty - taste testing the cakes. The verdict . . . Taste - OK, Presentation - Nice, Decoration - Too much topping! Thank goodness for the honesty of Mums . . .
I'm getting her 60th Birthday cake off someone who knows what they're doing ;-) Here are 2 of my designs celebrating Mums.
I hope you like them.

Once I found the cup website I was instantly addicted, first as a crafter - I was amazed and overwhelmed by the volume and variety of crafting sheets and kits and the opportunity to earn cash - and then as a designer.
I was thrilled when my first design was approved and my designer account was set up. Subsequently I spent a considerbale amount of time either crafting, designing or browsing the website.
My cat, Claude, was always in on the action - often helping with foam pads (carrying them on his fur - not intentionally).
Now he has advanced to reviewing my control panel and the website when I'm making a cup of tea.
Good to know he's more on top of things than I am. This is Claude checking the website when I leave my PC unattended :-) These are 2 of my favorite designs, both for females and great for Mother's Day or special friends & family.

Cards and crafting are my thing but I like to dabble in cakes for fun . . . and consumption of course!
I made cupcakes at Christmas, instead of cards, with mini character toppers made from icing.
It was lots of fun . . . until . . . my Sister asked me to make the cake for her 30th Birthday party.
It was a big occassion and I didn't want to let her down so I had a friend make the main cake but I committed to the cupcakes. The cupcakes I made were cute but the main cake was truley amazing and something I never could have achieved, so I definitely made the right choice.
The night went very well and my Sister had an amazing 30th Birthday ;-) The picture below is the card I made for my Sister who has very pink hair and loves animal print . . . think I hit the mark with this one! Below are 2 of my designs for Christmas, 1 is a deco style topper and the other is a shaped front free standing easel card mini kit. x
