I can't believe I have a son who is 21 already. He has grown into such an amazing young man, preparing to take his first overseas trip later this year.

What makes me more proud of him than ever is the fact that he is autistic, and despite the difficulties that being autistic has caused for him over the years, he has managed to use his super focus to stay on track in his dream of becoming a computer game developer.

He has already gained a degree in this area and is currently working on his second degree. Things are going great for him! We had his birthday party today and thankfully the horrid weather we had been having all week dispersed and the day was perfect.

I designed and made his birthday cake myself (another crafty hobby I have) and it went down a treat - a minion from Despicable Me in a Dr Who costume!
