Yes Spring has definitely sprung here in Central Brittany. Although the winds are still a bit nippy at times the sun is lovely and warm and it is so good to be able to go out without a coat on at last.
Walking the dogs is such a pleasure now with all the blossom in the trees and hedgerows, they may be mostly weeds but they are still flowers and make the country roads around where I live look so beautiful.
I took my camera out with me and here is a collage of all the pretty flowers I see on my morning walk.
This is definitely my favourite time of year! Here are a couple of my latest Easter cards, hope you like them.

I wanted to share with you this picture of my sister's gorgeous cat Loulou. She is a Cornish Rex hence the long legs and huge ears.
Loulou has been really poorly over the past few weeks, it started with a really nasty cold and respiratory infection, she was sneezing and coughing all over the place and her second eyelid came up over one eye.
With some TLC and antibiotics her cold cleared up after about a week but after another week the eyelid wasn't going down so we took her back to the vets and were given another type of antibiotics and cream for the eye.
We just thought she seemed to be getting a bit better, she was up and about and into everything as usual, although the eyelid still wasn't going down, when she suddenly went downhill and a huge lump appeared on her jawbone.
After another trip to the vets and yet another type of antibiotics and more cortizone she seems a little better again.
The vet wants to see her again on Friday and may be going to do take an x-ray of the lump, she thinks its a dental problem but there is always the worry that it could be feline leukemia.
We are just keeping everything crossed for her, she is such a beautiful, loving little cat and doesn't deserve to be going through such a hard time.

We were so impressed with the turkey we raised last year for Christmas dinner that we decided to buy 6 turkey poults to raise this year.
One unfortunately didn't make it but here are the 5 that did (2 males and 3 females).
They are such inquisitive creatures, very friendly, keep all the nettles back in the field a treat and give us loads of lovely meat.
I think they are so ugly but beautiful at the same time and can't help but spend time standing at the gate watching them.
Here are a couple of my latest minikits, hope you like them.

Things have been a bit quiet around here to say the least since the departure of my stepson Ben and his family after their first visit with baby Isabelle (Izzy).
It seemed that we had been waiting forever to finally meet our first grandchild and we definitely weren't disappointed, she is a complete bundle of joy and totally what the doctor ordered to pick us up after the recent sad and stressful time of losing my dear mother.
From the minute they came in the house we fell in love with Izzy and and Izzy fell in love with our two dogs, she had no fear and was soon running around playing with Amie the lively one and even getting in the dogs bed to cuddle up with Joli our English Setter who is a bit quieter.
Apparently now whenever she sees a dog she calls it Joli! We are now looking forward to their next visit when hopefully Izzy will have a little brother or sister. Here is a photo of Izzy in her favourite cuddly dressing gown.

June 18th would have been my Mother, June's, 81st birthday. Sadly we lost Mother recently after suffering for several years from vascular dementia, various small strokes and finally a massive stroke.
In her last years Mother loved going to her day centre in Plymouth and for the last 2 years won the Easter Hat competition.
Here is a photo of her in her entry this year.
Before her illness Mother was an avid crafter, knitting, sewing and cardmaking and it was when she could no longer use her cardmaking stash and passed it over to me that I took up cardmaking myself and she was so proud of me when I became a designer on Craftsuprint and loved to look at my designs on the site.
