Butterfly Door Card

A wonderful extravagant card design - made this for a special friend - cut out main card in white contoured paper 200gsm - then used 160gsm baby blue card and slightly darker blue pearlescent card to cut out all the butterflys. attached to card using the baby blue ones as a backing and the pearlescent ones as the top layer - decorated the four small top butterflys with matching blue tiny stones and tiny white pearls - for the large butterfly inside I decorated with matching contrasted blue roses - for the outer front butterflys I decorated the wings with matching blue glass stones and pearls - on all butterflys I used silver peel off edging down the middle of the butterflys and on the top of the antennae - to finish off this extravagant card I added to each side on the front two lovley fluffy feathers - added a special greeting for a friend in matching colours.
This looks absolutely stunning when finished.
I cut out using pastel pink and cream card. I cut the main card and the front doors with pink card and the butterflies with cream, with just 2 pink ones on the inside of the doors.
I added different sized punched and embossed flowers to the different sized butterflies and added pearls to the centre of the largest flowers.
I layered the butterflies using sticky pads and added the flowers using silicone adhesive. This is such a stunning and beautiful design, The results speak for themselves.
This card has the WOW factor and I shall save this one for my sister, Valerie, who loves butterflies as much as I do.
