Border Edge Card 24Completed by Clive Couter
Cut card and backing plate; used repositionable spray glue on backing plate and stuck behind design. Sprinkled embossing powder over design and tapped card to remove excess embossing powder leaving embossing powder stuck to design only ie onto the repositionable spray glue that shows through and used heat gun to melt embossing powder. Speckles of embossing powder were around design ? can use fine brush to remove them before melting and/or dust with talcum powder to mitigate this a little but some speckles always seem to remain as with any embossing unless your very careful, so found much easier to just cut card again changing card score line (for card fold) to cut and again using spray glue positioned identical card front over design lining up carefully ending up with a pristine card front ie with embossing powder in design and design only. Stuck other half of card ie the back piece on back of main card making whole card more sturdy by doing this in the process.
Used same principal on butterflies (from cup196218_198 choice of 4 butterflies or humming bird) ie cut front of each butterfly twice and backing plate/mat once ? cut off butterflies antennae as looked better without them for this card. Used ellipse tool in Robo Master to cut simple greeting panel and spray glued it and used same embossing powder on it as rest of design and put Happy Birthday peel off on the panel)
Can use same technique on any of my designs that have backing plates/mats which is almost all of them
