Mandala stitching with beads

I have really enjoyed making this greeting card using this stunning stitching and beading design by Emy and I have completed it today for a very special friend’s birthday.
I know she loves all the pink and purple hues so they are shades I have used today.
I copied the design onto white card and used purple embroidery floss to complete the central circle, the16 hoops around the outside and the 16 smaller circles surrounding the perimeter.
To complete the 16 pear shapes I have used a silver white thread. The beads consist of 16 silver metallic 5mm rice beads which I have stitched on using the silver white thread ad added the 16 tiny seed beads in the inner larger circle.
I then cut the finished work down to measure 12.5cm square and used a metallic pale mauve permanent pen to define the edges.
I formed the backing sheet using a silver metallic textured 11cm x 13.5cm card and a pale mauve metallic textured 13.5 x 2.5 cm card and butting them together using a light weight 2cm wide x 13.5 cm strip of white paper to the back join and attaching the silver ribbon and purple organza ribbon together across the front of the join and securing the tails at the back.
I then used the same light weight paper and red power tape to attach a 12cm square to the back of the stitched and beaded work to secure all the stitching threads.
I then attached this attaching D.S. tape to the backing sheets.
I have made the card with a double insert, and printed a purple gingham print onto both sides of A4 white card and cut one sheet down to measure 29x16 and scored and folded it.
The second sheet I cut down to measure 27cm x 16cm.I scored this at the 14cm mark in from the left hand side and then folded it before attaching D.S. tape to the 4 edges of the outside back and 6.5cm vertically of this extra insert.
I attached a 45cm length of mauve gingham ribbon leaving the tails to wrap over the front later. I then attached this extra insert to the bottom edge, top edge and right hand side edge of the open inside back cover.
This left just the right amount of room to fold the card.
I completed the inside verse section using a free verse I have chosen from the section available. I drew and coloured the violets and attached them to the right hand lower side and folded the ribbon over joining the ends with a mauve cameo.
I copied the finished card, printed a small 7cm diameter image of the stitched and beaded mandala and attached this to a silver 11cm diameter doily.
I have left room on the left hand side for my very special personal message. I was then able to complete the embellishments for the card front. I attached the completed topper leaving the larger margin at the lower edge of the card.
I added the silver decorative peel of strips, the peel off sentiment, which is matted to matching mauve metallic card and purple gingham card and attached this using padded D.S. tape.
I have used the purple glitter organza ribbon to make the bow and attached it and used 4 tiny mauve rose finished bows to complete the embellishments of the card front.
I have made the envelope using the same gingham print cutting it to measure 25.5cm square of paper.
