Stitching with beads

This beautiful flower circle by Emy van Schaik designs is worth making for that very special female in your life.
I loved the blue shades that Emy used and have made that greeting card in the blue, however I also have made it in this rose pink, and it definitely is a feminine design in this shade.
I began with an all over pink very pale lattice floral print onto a white card 13 x 12.5cm. I have used the top left to be the pale section of the print in the orientation of the design.
I have used pink polyester threads in 2 shades of pink for all the stitching and the darker of these for all the flowers and flower circles.
I completed the stitching and then used a matching water colour pencil in the darker shade of pink to high light the shape of the flowers.
I used 16 tiny pink seed beads for inside of the tiny circle buds.
To form the stamens I used a seed bead and a pink glass 0.5mm tube together. To make the paper roses I cut a circle from rose pink craft paper, to measure 5cm diameter and cut a circular worm, making the width of each line 0.6mm apart.
I then unevenly cut the edges like a frill.
I rolled this worm onto a tooth pick starting with the outside tail, and using white glue secured the inside tiny fat piece as the base.
I then used more white glue to stick this flat on a small circle of the same paper. I made the 4 roses the same and set them aside to dry.
I made the backing sheet in the same pink craft paper cut at 14x 13.5cm, and attached it to white pink edged backing sheet cut at 14.5 x14cm.
I used the narrow pink ribbon to wrap around these 2 backing sheets 3.5cm down from the top edge of the white backing sheet.
Before I stitched the paper flowers onto the main stitched topper, I used my craft knife to cut 2 holes of 0.5mm in length down either side at the top of the topper, starting at the 2.5cm point down from the top edge of the main stitched card.
I then used the same narrow deep rose pink ribbon to thread from the back through to the front through these slits and wrapped and secure at the back of the topper.
I used D.S.
Tape to secure a pink craft sheet cut at12 x 11.5cmm to the back of the stitched card. I made a hole using a tapestry needle to poke a whole either side of the pale pink stitched circle, exactly where I wanted the paper rose to sit.
I then stitched through the paper rose at least 2 or 3 times to secure it, at the same time adding the rose pink round 0.6mm bead to the centre of the flower.
I then attached this completed topper to the card front which measures 14.5cm high and 15.5cm wide. I have used cup799405_79993, Back ground sheet Clematis, a design by Clare walker for the print on both sides of the main card.
I used a length of the same rose pink ribbon to thread through the short section of the ribbon on the card front and tied a tiny bow.
The insert was easy to complete as it was already beautifully patterned. I wrote the verse which I have added to my free verse section , and used my black ink pen to draw the floral scroll which I have gently shaded in some of the sections.
The top half of the insert has an insert from Hens ‘n’ Roses designs, Chartreuse, cup841570_84647 and I have also used a sentiment from this page.
To complete the card front I made a 5cm circle from the same card as the main stitched backing sheet and coloured the sentiment and added 2 hearts together in the 2 shades of the stitching.
This card is almost too beautiful to give a way isn’t it?
At least it is going to an appreciative home. Thank you Emy, I love this design and will make it in every colour I have in my paper craft pile.
