Stitching with beads

The thing I really love most of all about using craftsuprint, is the ability to use all the resources I have been able to purchase, or receive as a gift, or a win from one of the games, ranging from the D.S. tapes, card, glues, merchandise, embellishments, sheet by designers, free verses, Friday Freebies and vault choices.
And being able to use any I have previously received again and again.
This stitching design by Emy van Schaik, I had originally purchased some time ago, but not as a gold star, so when it became available again, and as a gold star, I have used it as one of my treasures to send for a Christmas greeting this year.
I have used D.S. tape and padded D.S. tape and squares throughout for attaching the layers.
I have used the 120 gsm matte white card, and a previous purchase cup814313_79993, Christmas Lace Effect by Clare walker, for the main backing sheet to copy the design onto, and also for the 29 x 15 cm main card on both the inside and outside, and so eliminating the need for an extra insert.
I also was able to use a vault free sheet cup744655_1398, by Ceredwyn Macrae for the image I have reduced in size to fit onto the front of this card design.
The verse is from the free Christmas verse list for friends.
The stitched completed card measures 13.5 x 13 cm. I completed all the stitching before attaching the beads. I have used a dark green polyester thread, and a pale green metallic thread for the stitching and a red polyester thread to attach the beads.
I have used 17 round red metallic 4mm beads, 11 red metallic 0.5mm rice beads, and 7 red glass tiny seed beads to complete the stitching.
The central image is attached using padded D.S. tape and has the lace look edge coloured with red glitter glue.
I have defined the edges of the completed topper with a green pen and added a paper lace strip down the right hand side, before attaching it to the red 14.5x14 cm backing sheet and then attached this matted topper onto the main 15 x 15cm card front.
To complete the insert I have used one of the sprays from the decoupage to add to the paper lace and verse on the right hand side and a strip of paper lace to the left hand edge of the insert.
I am so pleased with this beautiful outcome.
I hope you like what I have done with the various tools I had on hand. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
