Ed017 Christmas Candle
Stitching with beads
Photographs from the Community (3)
The central candle and the surrounding spiral of coloured beads makes this design have the appearance of a candle burning to spread the joy of Christmas.
I stitched the bowl in copper metallic thread and the candle in 2 strands of metallic glitter gold thread.
To complete the beading, starting from the outside and largest bead space, using 24 of each tiny gold glass seed beads attached to gold metallic 5mm rice beads, red glass tube beads, red mixed sized glass seed beads, tiny green glass seeds and tiny glass clear seed beads.
I used green embroidery floss to titch all the beads in place.
The white card is cut at 12.75cm square and edged with a red permanent pen then attached to cup479109_93, A4Christmas Background by Marijke Kok, which I have edged with the same pen before attaching, the ribbon on the left hand side and securing the tails behind.
I have then used red power tape to attach the completed topper to the 15cm square card front to the 15cm square card front.
To complete the insert I have used the same holly A4 Background sheet, and added the verse from the free verse section of the Christmas list, added the embellishments and then completed the embellishments on the front of the card with gold stars and a sentiment.
This card will become a keepsake for a special friend. Thank you for the design, I love this pattern and I can imagine it as a very special 1 year old birthday keepsake for either a boy or a girl and I will use it many times.
