Santa Parachuting Topper or Shaker CardCompleted by Keeley Towler
OccasionI started with a piece of heavy white card (200g as this can hold the weight of a shaker card.) I cut it to so that when folded it would be the exact size of the shaker. I cut out all the pieces and mounted teh window frame on overhead projector transparency. (This is less static than acetate)
I added foam tape around the back outside edge of the window frame ensuring that all the corners met exactly so that no shaker bits excaped.
I added the decoupaged Santa and then filled with silver and blue mirco-beads and some sequins. The sequins are meant to be flowers, but I thought the would be perfect as small snowflakes. I stick the background picture to the cardstock and then attached to shaker front.
I then added the decoupaged Snowman and reindeer. On the charaters on the outside, I used silicone as I find this allows me to shape the pieces where as foam dots only allow flat paper.
