Pretty In Pastel Three Square Quick Card

Printed main design onto 130gsm matte inkjet paper and mounted base picture onto mauve card stock. Attached 3D elements with foam pads and used a border sticker around the edge. Enhanced design with a touch of glitter, faux gems and added greeting.

These beautiful pastel shades of these bunches of hydrangea flowers have given this design the versatility to be made as a quick card using so many different background colours.

I have made it twice at this time, once using the purple as shown here and once using orange backgrounds and ribbons as part of the embellishment.

The difference in the appearance of the final product is amazing.

I made 2 backing sheets for this quick card, both of which I have used a permanent purple metallic pen to define the outside edges The white backing sheet is cut at 13 x 9.25cm and the mauve is cut at 14 x 10.25cm.

I made the main card from a purchase I have made cup885225_719 Butterfly backing paper, which I printed onto both sides of a white 120gsm card and cut it at 23 x 15cm and scored and folded it in half.

I used the purple satin ribbon together with a length of lace to attach across the front centre of these backing sheets before attaching them to the card front using D.S. tape.

I copied the sheet provided onto white 120gsm card and cut out the main element.

I measured accurately the central vertical point, which in this case for this size is 2.5cm in from each outside edge, and using D.S tape attached a length of purple satin ribbon and attaching it at the back of the main image.

I then used D.S tape to attach this to the card front. I cut out the small elements and attached the group of three small images using padded D.S. tiny squares, and then using the same padded squares I attached the single image and the blank sentiment.

I tied the bow and attached it using red power tape. The insert is the inside of the card, and I have attached an hydrangea black and white image which I have coloured using water colour pencils.

As a result of printing the butterfly backing paper onto both sides of the main card sheet, the back of the card is as lovely as the insert.
