I wanted this design to stand on its own so I printed the base panel onto 300gsm card and cut it out.
I printed the design again onto good quality 255gsm photographic paper and cut it out.
I scored and folded the 300gsm card at the left hand side and attached it to the 255gsm photographic printout using strong double sided tape on this left hand side.
The 300gsm card allows the card to stand easily and gives a lovely insert too. I assembled the decoupage using thin foam tape. I added a blob of silicone glue under the wings of the butterflies to give more definition.
I also printed the inserts onto 300gsm card and attached one to the inside of the card using double sided tape.
I printed this kit onto 200gsm photo paper (I did not use the insert). I cut out all the pieces and attached the main image onto a white base card- tent fashion so that the image went over the edge).
I then added all the decoupage and a sentiment using foam pads. To finish I added stardust stickles to the water to make it look like the sun was making it sparkle and, for once, it shows on the photograph!!!
A great card which can be used for so many occasions.
