1950's Bon Voyage Lady Mini Kit
A pretty lady in a 1950's style dress, with a flared skirt & petticoats with matching sun hat & gloves. She is standing on a promenade waving out to sea & is framed by sea-life embellishments.
This stunning mini kit makes an 8 inch square card & includes 2 sheets, one with the card front & 5 matching greeting tags The other has easy to cut out decoupage layers to make a very special card. The deep layers will make the skirt really stand out & you could add a bit of lace or broderie anglaise to make it even more luxurious!
Tip: put sticky tape instead of foam pads at the waist of the skirt to keep it flat & make the bottom of the skirt flare out.

Cut a 'Wave' border on my cameo cutting machine on an 8 x 8 card blank, trimmed my topper with my fancy edge cutter and decoupaged with foam pads, I attached the cut off wave to the bottom with foam pads, before decoupaging the skirt I added a layer of fine net gathered to make a petticoat (doesn't show very well in the picture) the skirt layers were trimmed with scalloped edge scissors and tied at the waist with a bow, added tiny pearls to her neck and a lace handkerchief to her hand, added some gems to the sea life and finished off with a co-ordinating lace and ribbon bow, this is the nicest 50's style card I have done, a really beautiful design with lovely colours.
I printed the design onto good quality photographic paper and cut it out. I scored and folded an 8 x 8 scalloped edged card. I attached the design to the card using double sided tape. I assembled the decoupage using thin foam tape.
I shaped the skirt of the dress with my fingers then added foam tape to the outside edges only. I did this for each layer. This makes the skirt look full. I added the greeting using thin foam tape. I added glitter to the silver on the seahorse, star fish and sea shell plus the flower on her hat to enhance this gorgeous design.
