Picture Frame Gatefold Mini-kit - Christmas River
These kits make up into a lovely 7x7 inch card that doesn't need any special envelope.. They consist of a lovely framed scene, decorated with decoupaged items on the front. As always, I have included lots of decoupage sections, but you really can use just as much or as little as you choose. There are full picture instructions inside every kit, tho they really are very simple to make, as well as an optional printed back panel. Every kit also contains a gift card and a selection of greetings, meaning that there 6 sheets in most kits, making them excellent value too.
This design is built around a lovely painted image of the winter countryside. Decorated with glittering candles, Christmas bells and ribbons around an ornate white and blue picture frame.

I used an 8 x 8" blank card and folded the sides to the centre, mounted the 2 fronts and then cut out the aperture on my card blank, decoupaged with foam pads, the 2 spare halves of the fronts I used as backing sheets, added the insert scene to be viewed through the apertures, I added blue glass gems, silver rings, pearls and gems, tied ruffled ribbon down the sides, a fab design.
I printed the design onto good quality 255gsm photographic paper and cut this out. I attached the front panels to the back using strong double sided tape. I cut out the apertures and folded each side as indicated. I used strong double sided tape to complete each side.
I assembled the decoupage using thin foam tape. I added the greeting to the right front gatefold panel using thin foam tape. I added some glitter to the snow on the bridge and river. This gorgeous card comes with a matching gift card and will fit into a 7x7 envelope.
There is a panel that can be stuck on the back of the card but I chose to use 300gsm card to give more support.
