Arr Pirate Boy Woven Corner Card Mini Kit
Effective, quick and easy card to put together, with some simple weaving in the corner. My woven corner card kits have 4 strips which are layered in one corner in a weaving fashion. I like to use thicker mounting tape where they overlap to accentuate the weaving effect. On top of this woven corner you mount the frame and decoupage layer containing the feature picture - a cute pirate boy holding a cutlass.
There are three pages in this kit - the card front, weaving strips and decoupage elements, and a page of optional sentiment strips. I have designed this kit so you only need to print two pages to complete the card if you are using the default sentiment shown on the kit picture. If you want to use one of the other sentiments, you could print the third page, or move the desired sentiment weaving strip to the second page using a graphics program. (I'm a bit of a frugal crafter and hate using more paper or printer ink than I have to!).
The card is approximately 7.5" x 7.5" square.

, i used foam tape & DST to mount them to the base image. I matted the frame layer onto gold holo card & used foam pads to mount it to the base card over the woven strips. I decoupaged the top layer with 3D glue gel & used Star Dust & Diamond Stickles to add some shimmer. I embellished the anchor buttons with 3D glue gel & used 3 resin buttons to embellish further. ){kind=link}
I printed the sheets off onto 220gsm good quality photo paper. I used DST to mount the main image to an 8x8 card blank.
I cut out the strips to weave that i wanted from the ones on the sheet (lot's to choose from), i used foam tape & DST to mount them to the base image.
