Box Side Aperture Card - Butterfly Anniversary
This is one of my new series of Box Side Aperture cards.
The cards have a 3D box on one side with a panel sandwiched in the centre. The panel has decoupaged rectangles on each side (front and back), which stick out of the right hand side of the box.
On the bit which is sandwiched in between the front and back of the box you hang your "dangler".
The whole card folds flat for posting and measures approx. 6 inches by 4 inches when flattened.
The sides of the "box" are decorated so that there is something to look at whichever side you look from - front, back, left or right.
I have designed this card with men in mind. The overall design is of butterflies but the colours are beige, black, white gold and orange.
There is a verse on the reverse of the dangler.

I printed onto 200gsm photo paper and cut out all the pieces. I scored, cut out apertures and folded as necessary and followed the brilliant instructions to make the card. I added the 'dangler' using a gold thread and the side panels using foam pads.
A great design which is not difficult to make.
