Country Kitsch Hanging Birdhouse/treat Box Decoration
This 3D kit makes a delightful piece of home decor, in an easy to make hanging birdhouse. With full colour instructions included taking you step by step, to complete the project.
With lovely embellishments and a 1950's kitsch appearence and the look of a well known high street store and designer, you get everything included to complete the project. Extras you will need yourself includes, 2 small pieces of acetate, ribbon or twine, wet glue. I added some little wind chimes at the bottom of this particular one. The creativity and design is up to you. I just give you the elements to create it.

The images were printed on 250gsm smooth white card. The birdhouse body was assembled using wet glue. The bird and decorations on the front of the perch were attached using glue gel as were the four large roses.
The remaining decorations were assembled and attached to the birdhouse and ribbons using wet glue.
I'd suggest printing the first 5 pages of the PDF on 250gm matte photo paper, and the next 4 on lighter weight matte photo paper, then printing the backing sheet on the reverse of those previous 4.
This will eliminate white showing on the back of the flowers, leafs, etc.
I cut the tabs off the inner birdhouse liner to make it easier to score, fold and construct the house.
I made this one into a treat box (the tutorial tells you how), so I covered the bird's hole and the windows with acetate.
The roof opens on the right side, and I used heavier embellishments on that side of the roof so it stays closed nicely.
There are so many options included with this kit, and you could easily make some cards with the backing paper and leftover embellishments.
Besides glue and tape, the only thing I added from my stash was a feather! SO cute!
