3D Room with a View - Sweet Dreams New Baby Boy
This is a stunning card kit from my 3d Room with a View collection, which is very easy to make.
This is a really pretty design, for a new baby boy!
It features a Nursery, decorated with pale blue wallpaper and carpeted floor complete with pale blue oval rug with the word BABY on it.
There is the new baby boy asleep in his cot and a shelving unit filled with cuddly toys and a train.
This is sure to be a card that will please any parent/ grandparent to celebrate the birth of their New Baby Son/ Grandson.
Looking into the card, on the inside left and inside right of the card are pictures and lights, and pretty blue roses wreath, hanging on the walls which have a pretty Plaid Wallpaper in Pale Blue.
To the back of the room is a window looking out into the garden, on a beautiful Summers Day.

Any of your recipients, will be well impressed that you have actually made it! It is so dimensional and you can peer right into the Nursery, from the front frame which is draped with pale blue curtains and a slightly transparent, white blind which allows the recipient to see vaguely into the room, before opening the draped sliders!
The Front Frame features the outside of the home, complete with arched window, BABY BOY bunting, topiary trees and flowers, the free standing card has an impressive width of 12 5/8 inch (32cm).
The height is 7 5/8 inch (19.3cm). The depth from the Front Frame to the back of the room is 2 1/2 inch (6.5cm). ... and to top it all, it even folds down FLAT for posting, and will fit into a standard 8 inch x 8 inch envelope!

Despite having really impressive 'Mantelpiece Appeal', they are so EASY to make, that even a beginner to Card Making would have no problems!

I printed all the sheets onto 250 gram good quality smooth card. This was the perfect thicknes so that I did not have to re-inforce any of the parts at all.
If I had printed onto Crafty Bob's photo paper then I would have had to back the parts onto card like it says in the instructions.
I printed out the instructions and followed them step by step. Everything was so clear and explained in detail so that you could not go wrong in any way.
Once I got to the part where you slot all the 3D pieces into the sides it all just magically came together and I was amazed at the 3D and actual depth of the inside part.
Then I attached the sliding doors.....WOW.....I just could not believe it....and they WORKED too. I could not stop opening and shutting this amazing card. I have never seen anything quite like this before. The detail and whole concept is absolutely fantastic.
When you shut the doors it automatically folds completely flat without having to fath with the tabs. I added 2 baby blue heart gems and a teddy on the front holding the word BOY in tiny beads.
These cards will be a keepsake for many years. There is so much detail that you do not need to add much at all
Printed onto Crafty Bobs matte paper and followed the easy instructions, Dianne's description says it all, a very impressive design which has been well admired, I added punched out blur and white flowers to the front with gold pearlised 3d paint in the centres, a rocking horse and teddy bear, and blue ribbon to the sides which you gently pull to open, this can be personalised with the baby's name in gold or silver foil if requested.
printed out on matt photo paper and put together as instructed, sprayed the front with sparkle, added a pair of tiny blue baby feet and a blue butterfly on the front and a tiny butterfly on the back window with a blue gem on the inside curtain this is a beautiful card
My first attempt at making a 3D card. I printed out all the sheets plus one extra sheet of front frame v2 and one extra sheet of the text plate.
I then, before starting the cutting out, sprayed the sheets with a clear lacquer spray to give extra durability to the card and then cut, scored and followed very easy instructions to make it.
I cut out the bunting and flowers from the extra front frame sheet to make some decoupage attaching with sticky foam pads, next to the flowers at the bottom of the card I attached my chosen sentiment.
For the back of the card (photo not shown) I cut out the middle of the text plate, i took the extra sheet i had printed and cut out just the frame, i then cut around one of the spare sentiment labels to leave just a piece of plain blue card and with silver peel off lettering I wrote the baby's name.
I then attached a congratulations sentiment label at top of the card and underneath i put the name label I had made.
I then took a small photo of the baby and with a small piece of backing card I stuck it to where the text plate would have been and then attached the extra frame around the photo.
A truly beautiful card to make which i thoroughly enjoyed and the added little extras gave it that special touch for my friend.
