3D New Baby Carousel Card KitCompleted by Pam Stubley
OccasionFirst of all my I just say - if you want a quick card in a hurry this is not the kit for you.
I printed all the sheets for this kit onto 160gsm card -a lighter card than I normally use for cards because of the number of layers involved. (We would not want the postman to get a hernia would we?) I cut out all the sheets and kept track of them by putting them in sets of three- for each part of the star.
I followed instructions and assembled the 'pages' of the carousel and added a yellow/green patterned grosgrain ribbon around the outside of the pages prior to adding the front and back of the card.
I then started to have fun with the decoration - I used the designers elements combined with Le Suh decoupage elements, Lilli of the Valley elements, Debbi Moore papers as well as other baby sheets and decoupage.
I then glued or attached with foam pads, or silicone all the different elements and sentiments. I added adhesive ribbons and my stash of ribbons.
The problem was then - when to stop- but stop I did and although it has taken me some time to finish this project it is so well worth it.
Any other baby card will physically wilt in its shadow. The front of the card, by the way, is almost identical to the front of the matching box- which you can see under cup335206_359.
A big thumbs up to Carol!!!!
