This Iris folding pattern has many good points to it (pun intended). ;) The cutting, although not particularly difficult, is a bit fussy and time-consuming.
And, oh-so-worth-it at that pull-of-the-pattern-and-see-your -work-complete moment. You'll love it.

I cut out aperture on a lavendar cardstock ( 10 1/2 x 10 1/2 cm). Matted on purple (11 x 11 cm) then on a plum colored card (12 1/2 x 25 cm).
I used different colors of purple for the iris folding and used gold peel-offs to border the pattern and gold corner peel-offs to accent the card.
I also used a purple holographic paper for the iris.
