Officers from Sunderland adopted Warship, HMS Ocean, exercised their freedom of the city. The freedom parade is part of a 4 day visit by the Royal navy's largest serving warship HMS Ocean. HMS Ocean was based at the Port of Sunderland corporation Quay and was open to the public.

Had a good day. As well as the parade the crew were taking part in the Sunderland half marathon, which was for charity.

Well done to all that took part, as it was a dreadful day, heavy rain and strong winds. It was a great day and spirits were high.

this is the waterfall in Roker Park, this leads down to the ravine onto the beach, I walk past here every day.

Today there was three ducks sitting on the waters edge, two male and a lady duck, she must have two husbands, and I think she is going to have her babies, could not get close enough to photo them as they were hid in the plants.

this is my granddaughter on one of her visits playing with Otto, who is acting the clown as he does, he was trying to sit on her knee, I don't think he knows how large he is.

this was the boxing day dip at Seaburn, it was a lot of fun and lots of dippers dress in fancy dress.

What I was surprised to see as it is the first one I have watched, was the fireman were there hosing each person down with water before they entered the sea.

This is all done for charity and lots of money made

this is our Christmas party at the cat and dog cafe on Roker beach yesterday. The sun was shining and we all had lots to eat.

The dogs had their party with a variety of doggy treats. Would like to wish all crafters a Merry Christmas and a healthy New year. thank you for purchasing my designs. x
