The beautician has just cancelled,
Hairdresser's scissors gather dust,
We're on close name terms with the Amazon man,
Some shops are going bust.
A few pub doors are open,
But people inside are few,
Parties are not going to happen,
Unless you have Zoom to view,
But despite no hugs or callers,
Our homes will still show the signs,
Of festive decorations,
Covid will not take this Christmas time.
We'll still enjoy the carols,
Exchange special gifts when we can,
There might be some smaller gatherings,
Although larger ones are banned.
But Covid will not take our dampen our spirits,
It might claim many other things,
But we won't allow it to rob us of,
Christmas and the joy it brings.

There may be ones missing from our table,

Our loved ones might not be able to stay,
But we'll still decorate our homes, write Christmas cards,
And get festivities underway.
It might be a different Christmas,
But we'll all manage to find our way through,
And we'll hope and we'll pray that past Christmas day,
The New Year will be kinder to us too.

We're not letting Covid claim Christmas,
We'll still make it merry and bright,
We'll still do as many things as we can,
Our Christmas tree will shine through the night,
We're not letting Covid kill Christmas,
Not an inch or a crumb it will take,
I'll still get into the festive spirit,
My brandy will still go in the cake.
We're not letting Covid spoil Christmas,
No merrymaking of ours will it steal,
We'll still pull our crackers,
Wear silly hats,
And thoroughly enjoy our Christmas meal.

Let's make merry at Christmas,
Throw Covid cares away,
It wont be like this forever,
Don't let it spoil your Christmas day,
It might a little bit different,
Traditions put on hold this year,
But we'll still make sure it's a good one,
So bring on the festive cheer!

Let this season of magical beauty
fill your heart with much delight,
Allowing the joy of your loves ones
to keep you warm at night,
May peace and hope abide with you
as the yuletide draweth near extending
the blessings it offers to you right through
to the coming year.

The weathers getting colder,they say we could have snow
Christmas trees appear in windows the love is starting to grow.
Get into the Christmas spirit, hear the carolers sing
Immerse yourself in the season, when church bells start to ring

Will be ringing merrily soon
Carrying all the brand new toys
For all the good girls and boys

When Christmas comes around
There's a very special sound -
It's excitement from girls and boys
They're patiently waiting.....

Their sackful of Christmas toys!

We hang the pretty baubles upon the Christmas tree,
Each decoration holds happiness with bygone memories,
We think of family traditions,
The old ones and the new,
It's part of what is Christmas,
Its part of what we do,
This time is very special,
Spent with those close to your hearts,
So may the season bring much joy to for you,
Right from the very start.

Stockings are hung from the fireplace,
Our homes are merry and bright,
Children wait excitedly,
For Santa to arrive in the night,
It's the time we spend with our loved ones,
Family traditions all play a part,
In making this Christmas so special,
As we share all the joy in our hearts.

Christmas is a special time,

To spend with those most dear,

A happy and most wonderful time,

That's filled with lots of cheer.

For this Christmas I want to give

The most special gift,

My heart, my soul, wrapped up and sealed

With a very loving kiss.

Frost sparkling on the trees,
Became Diamonds
In the moonlight’s glow?

And can you still hear
Santa’s Sleigh Bells Jingling whilst
Passing through the snow?

Are the Stars still really Angels,
Twinkling in the Sky
Do you still feel the
' Magic of Christmas'
As through a small
Child’s eye?
