Lantern Shaped Gift Boxes/luminaries - Gold
These versatile kits allow you to make either solid sided or acetate sided gift boxes in two sizes. The smaller box is an ideal size for a favour box or a small gift, the base of the box measures approx 2" sq, the top of the box inner is approx 2 1/2" sq and stands approx 5" high to the top of the lid. The larger version is approx 3" sq at the base, widening to 4" sq at the top of the box inner and stands approx 7 1/2" high. I have also included a couple of layers of optional decoupage for the larger box.
You can either make solid sided boxes, or by simply cutting around the center of the apertures you can create either acetate sided boxes or, by simply adding the "well" base that is included for both sizes, add battery operated tea lights and create beautiful luminaries.
You will receive 4 sheets of box elements plus a sheet of instructions with diagrams.

I printed the design onto good quality 255gsm photographic paper and cut this out. I cut out the windows on the larger box and added Hunkydory Snowfall Foiled Acetate behind each window. I assembled the boxes and lids using strong double sided tape.
I assembled the decoupage on the larger box using thin foam tape. I added a greeting tag to the ribbon slotted through the top of each box lid. I did not cut out the windows of the smaller box. This can be used to hold a small present.
I printed on matte card, cut,scored and folded as instructed then assembled boxes following the clear directions. I made the big lantern as a gift box and the small as a luminary; added a little gold glitter to the flower centers and around the sentiments.
These are both absolutely gorgeous.
